Darrell Issa is scheduled to travel to Libya next week as part of his investigation into the attack last year on the Benghazi consulate, according to documents obtained by POLITICO. The California Republican, who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, did not invite Democratic counterparts on the trip, which has been in the works for over a week and begins on Sunday with stops in Italy and Egypt.
Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) the committees ranking member called on Issa to postpone the trip to allow a Democrat to take part in the excursion.
Stop your partisan efforts to deliberately exclude Democrats from this trip, and provide adequate notice to allow Democratic Members to join this delegation at a later date, Cummings wrote in a letter to Issa sent on Friday afternoon. Although you claim that your investigation of the Benghazi attacks is bipartisan, your efforts to secretly plan an official trip to Libya and then deliberately exclude Democrats from joining is part of an unfortunate pattern of partisanship that undermines the credibility of this investigation.

Lets hope Obama doesn’t decide to eliminate him while he’s there.
He should have the victims families travel with him...
Didn’t democraps walk out of the families’ testimonies yesterday?
Would be awesome if Egypt gave him some info.. Hehehe.
The Democrats who walked out of the Benghazi testimonies and insulted the families should all be voted out of office at the first opportunity, in my opinion.
WHY?
What good will it do?
What could he POSSIBLY asccomplish with this junket?
Waste of time!
Waste of taxpayer money!
I had the same thought, shades of Clinton
That'll keep the dems home, for sure
Also, what party was it that said a terrorist attack against Americans in Benghazi was a 'protest over an Anti-Islam video' to minimize damage to a Democrat's re-election bid, Hmmm?
right - like they've been including the pubbies in this all along.
The chutzpah -
Issa shouldn't have even let it be known he was going until he was on the plane - (Will mad M'cain be butting in too?) Betcha the phone lines between our enemies on both sides of the ocean will be burning up to put roadblocks in Issa's path -
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise me or Republicanprofessor.
This is a combined potpurri list. Anyone wanting on or off please advise.
I’m with you on this being a waste of time. That place has been swept by so many spooks by now that there’s nothing to be found.

Hopefully on Issa’s stop to Egypt he will witness the trial that is now going on. Military leader al Sisi appears to be cleaning out the MB terror types from Egypt. The excerpt below highlights Khairat el-Shater who knows all about Morsi and can tie zero to the MB if memory serves. Let’s hope Issa does not sleep through all that action.
Much of the action on Benghazi is now being tried in Egypt. Hope Issa can put all that together! His timing is near perfect.
“The trial for Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and 6 other membersincluding Deputy Supreme Guide Khairat El-Shaterfor inciting murder will begin on Aug. 25, according to state newspaper Al-Ahram. The group is charged with the deaths of 8 people who stormed its headquarters on June 28.”
Yes!!!!!!!
At least it is NOT going away.
Do you feel better still, MM?
Sorry I didn’t do more about the spices you mentioned. I have it on my list, though - tomorrow!!!
Indeed, by all means, let us ave kgb democrates tag along making sure their priviledges dont get hurt.
It is not like Pelosi did not do surprize trips to Syria.
There are people to talk to....
Yes , talk to the President of Libya and his security people, they will know who was involved and may be able to point to the brotherhood tie. When he gets to Italy he can stop in and check the NATO bases that were ready to deploy and find out no one asked for approval. Stop in to AFRICON and see what the commanders know.
Stay safe and may God protect you.
