right - and yes, some 870s are tactical configuration for police. This article makes it sound like ALL 870s are tactical weapons.
The Remington 870 is one of the most, if not the most, popular shotgun for duck and bird hunting. From the brief look I had at a picture of the weapon, it looked more bird hunting than tactical - but I can’t say that for certain.
Hell, I duck hunt with an 870...drives my brother-in-law nuts. One shot,one kill...5th Louisiana Scouts and Sharpshooters.
The law enforcement angle is just saying they hate that shotgun because it is black. I doubt it was a Wingmaster with fine wood and rich blueing. It was BLACK!
