In a way I agree. Instead of doing last minute theatrics to give the false impression that the GOP is for smaller government, they should be cultivating Reagan-like politicians rather than chasing them out of the party.

ANY beltway geek who says the House is trying to “shut down the government” is a loser and an imposter. They know that the plan is to FUND everything but ObamaCare.
There is no way in hell that I believe the Founding Fathers set up a system that could ruin the country through endless, insurmountable debt.
That means they did not set up a system wherein a Senate or an Executive or a combination could run the nation into the poor house by means of debt.
They gave the power to control spending to the MOST ACCOUNTABLE part of the legislature, the House of Reps. The intent was for the House to use that power to prevent gross expenditures. And they expected us, the TAXED Citizenry, to hold the House’s feet to the fire.
Could anything be obvious?
