MOSCOW, September 15 (RIA Novosti) A Russian state TV host has invited US Senator John McCain to take part in his show and discuss his stance on Syria.
Popular Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov said Sunday that the Republican senator known for his critical views on Russias leadership can appear in his show to respond to President Vladimir Putins recent article in the New York Times on Syria.
On our behalf, the broadcaster and myself invite Senator McCain, who wanted to respond to Putins letter to the Sunday Night program, Solovyov said on Sunday.

We?
Who’s “we” Kemosabe?
Yes, I thought the McCain’s Navy show would be something I’d like to watch (in horror - like a train wreck)
Talk about an unbelievably small shot across the bow.
It would be a win-win.
Win.
For those who never watched that particular ‘Rocky’ movie, I'll just say that Apollo's loss was humiliating.
That was an awesome SCTV skit.

“Ooooh! Loook! Demitri has new pair of shoes!” (Focus on Demitri’s new black wingtips. No socks.)
When a reporter asked Grimes, What should the U.S. response to Syria be with the use of chemical weapons on their citizens? she answered:
Well first and foremost, my thoughts and prayers go out to the thousands of women, children, innocent civilians that have suffered at the hands of this regime right now. I had the chance to visit with many of our men and women in uniform that are in the Middle East last year and before we get involved in an open-ended conflict I do think its important, as Secretary Kerry pointed out this morning, that we consult with our military leaders as to how best we can help in that region. The last thing that I would want to do is to get Kentuckians involved in an open-ended conflict with no exit strategy. So Im monitoring Secretary Kerrys, what his position has been. His meetings that hes having right now with our military leaders and hopeful that we can have a positive resolution, especially for the innocent civilians that are suffering right now,
When the reporter asked her to clarify her view on the U.S.’s role in foreign affairs, it didn’t get much better:
Well, Ill tell you, we have a lot of problems to take care of right here in Kentuckys own backyard and thats where my priority and focus has been. But we also have to be cognizant of the impact that we have across the nation. But my priority is making sure were tackling the problems here at home, while making sure that the efforts we get involved with abroad, that we are not needlessly taking thousands of Kentuckians who have the privilege and honor to get to know and get to meet in the Middle East and involving them in conflicts that are open-ended. Thoughts and prayers go out to those, not just in Syria, but in Egypt as well and mindful and watchful of Secretary Kerrys efforts to involve the United States, she said.
Oh, boy.
