No!
Keep them DC Perverts away from the Cheerleaders!
Based on the cheerleaders at my high school, I would think that the most prevalent injury would come from throwing themselves onto their backs.
Because,..,it’s so like gymnastics, yaaahh? /sarc
Like being punished with a baby, or herpes being spread around by the football team?

Except with very few of the safety procedures used in gymnastics. For real. Gymnastics is safer because of all the padding and spotting etc.
OMG, OMG, OMG!!!
I thank you both for that. Those ladies are quite wholesome-looking.
Cheerleaders spend a lot more time airborne than gymnasts. And where gymnasts are landing on their feet and on padding that helps when things go wrong cheerleaders are usually being caught, and they’re on their back, and when things go wrong they hit the ground or floor.
Yes that is dangerous — but danger is our business
Belly delicious
My ten year old daughter just started cheer this summer. It’s nice to have both kids at the same location, one doing cheer and my son doing football. Before this summer, my daughter did junior rodeo and gymkhana for four years. I reckon danger comes in any sport and if you’re committed to it and pushing yourself, injuries will come.
And remember to stay hydrated!
Looks can be deceiving. According to the article it is statistically likely that they are injured. This calls for a more thorough examination.
