The key to understanding our situation is, of all things, John Boehner and his “leadership” team. It’s very important to understand that they were more scared by 2010 than the Democrats were.

The situation is that, if they nominate Dole, or McCain, or Romney, or HW Bush, or Bush II, we are supposed to pitch in and go all out. But if we nominate Goldwater, or Reagan, or Cruz, or Palin, THEY reserve the right to go the other way. McCain himself was able to exercise self-restraint with regard to Palin, but not his hirelings. They did everything they could to make it clear that she was “not one of us”.

So who are “us”? Who are the Republicans on the Hill?

They are people who have enjoyed a certain amount of success in life. They are educated in the same systems, often in the same places, as their Democrat counterparts. They marry into the same families, they take their bribes from the same places, they go to the same churches (if they go at all), and they share fundamental assumptions about the state, the government, and the people they “represent”. As someone said, they are farmers, we are cows.

Of course there are pragmatic disagreements that exist between them and their “friends across the aisle”. Just how much should be stolen from producers? Just how many new regulatory bodies should be created in a two-year House term? What is the correct way to nationalize hospitals and medical practices, pharmaceutical companies and device inventors? How fast should jobs be moved overseas, and how much bribe money is too much for non-members of the tax-writing committees?

But between the majority of the House GOP caucus and virtually all GOP Senators, and the Ted Cruz/Mike Lee/Sarah Palin people, there is a gap of oceanic proportions. The GOP is NOT THE VEHICLE by which the Cruz/Lee/Palin vision will be realized, if it ever is.

That vision, which is our vision too, dismantles the state as it exists, eliminates or severely restricts the unelected “fourth branch”, and cuts off the river of filthy cash that makes every Member of Congress a multi-millionaire by the time he or she retires.

To Harry Reid, this looks like anarchy. In a sense, he is correct. So be it.

WE are forces of chaos and anarchy
Everything that they say we are, we are
AND we are very proud of ourselves - Paul Kantner 1969

The headline of this article reads:

Jeb Bush presents undeserving Hillary Clinton with Liberty Medal

Let's take a look at Jeb Bush. He is the grandson of United States senator from Connecticut. He is the son of a President of the United States who was also ambassador to China, head of the CIA, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, United States Congressman from Texas. He is the son of a former First Lady of the United States. He is the brother of a President of the United States who was also Governor of Texas. He himself was a governor of Florida.

Here he is lionizing a former first lady of the United States who was also a Secretary of State.

There can hardly be a family tree of a more established individual than this scion of the Bush family. Not surprisingly, his views on virtually every issue are contrary to our own with recent notorious examples including his views on immigration and common core education.

To say that this whole affair is operating within a bubble is hardly an original observation. Nor is it original to observe that this example of "comity" will be applauded by the establishment media and the image of both Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton will be accordingly burnished. In fact, those who criticize a politician who crosses the aisle to air kiss an opposition is to draw criticism from the media. So the establishment, not surprisingly, is firmly "established" and the media applauds comity within the establishment when it occurs and deplores contrary expressions of dissent.

One senses, however, that the times they are changing, with the new media and an awakened and aroused conservative base. There is a realization that the game is rigged and there is a growing facility to exploit the new media and social media against the establishment media. Unfortunately, the establishment has now grown so ubiquitous and so powerful that it is able to spend our own money against us and, where it requires private money, it intimidates Wall Street or panders to the likes of George Soros and his stable of billionaires.

The stakes have never been higher, the country is no longer slouching but racing toward Gomorrah, and Gomorrah appears to be at the bottom of the fiscal Cliff. In the face of this daunting situation is our duty as conservatives to soldier on.

In doing so I think we should operate on three fronts. We should utilize every facet of media to attack on the Washington front, to make Republicans inside the Beltway more afraid of us than they are of the media or our adversaries. If necessary, that implies running Tea Party candidates against establishment figures in primaries and in selected, repeat, selected general elections such as John Boehner's upcoming race in Ohio, run third-party candidates or even support the Democrat against especially perfidious Republican.

On a nationwide front, we should enthusiastically take up Mark Levin's Article V movement to amend the Constitution on the state level to de-establish the leftists who are running Washington.

Academia is the poisoned well from which much of this pestilence flows and it must be opposed. Academia was taken over by the left in the 60s and 70s literally, although partially, through acts of violence and there is no reason why there cannot be aggressive protests on America's campuses starting now. As a Protestant, I call for a shock troop of Jesuits to storm America's campuses and take back our intellectual heritage.
