Personally, I think the plan is more insidious than described.

Strangely, attempting to comment under a facebook posting of this article is failing... hmmm....?

Agreed but I think a lot of it is distraction. I personally think a war with Syria would help to destabilize Jordan which is a a relatively friendly neighbor to Israel. If Jordan starts getting large numbers of refugees it will almost certainly cause unrest.

I’m with you. I think Obama wants to take out another government that allows Christians to live.

I was wondering if the plan was to use an attack on Syria to collapse the American economy.

The U.S. attacks Syria, Syria attacks Jordan, Turkey, and most important of all, Israel. Israel strikes back against Syria, other countries in the region jump into the war against Israel, most notably, Iran. Israel and the U.S. attack Iran, Iran attacks the Saudi oil fields and the United Arab Emirates, the Straits of Hormuz are closed.

The price of a gallon of gas in the U.S. is $10.00 or $15.00 a gallon, the U.S. economy collapses, Obama imposes martial law and/or joins a one-world government with a global currency.

Far fetched? Let’s hope so.

The Obama economy is leading America into economic chaos.

Trillions of dollars are being printed and spent for welfare, market manipulation, and local infrastructure (aka political) projects.

Unfortunately, the usual end result for economic chaos policy is war.

I think it has a lot to do with the relationship between the dollar, Saudi Arabia, and petroleum trading i.e. petrodollars and the fact that Russia i.e. Vladmir Putin produced considerably more oil than Saudi Arabia last year.

I am starting to think that Obama does not have a plan. It's simply a mish mash of disjointed initiatives that Marxists, environmentalists, liberals, feminists, gays, minorities, and unions have strung together over the years.

They don't work together. It's like the old whackamole game. If you help one group you hurt one of the others.

Obama’s war is a desperate attempt to keep his own most loyal supporters from noticing that his policies have ruined their lives and set their economic progress back decades.

What silliness this is.

Obamacare is becoming a reality. Obama's legacy is assured. Lack of economic progress is due to the evils of capitalism. This isn't a problem he can solve in a couple of 4-year terms. His supporters understand that. They would reelect him in a heartbeat if he was elgible. Why can't political writers resist over-analyzing Obama's actions? Why can't they be as smart as we are here on FR?

I don't know the answer to that one.

But I do know why he wants to go to war in Syria. It is simply to support the Muslim Brotherhood. Like he does in Libya. Like did and still does in Egypt. The fact that his actions hurt the U.S. and help al Qaeda is just too bad. But not to worry. The MSM and 99% of Obama loyalists won't notice or won't care.

The bottom line is that Obama is trying to help the Muslims set the world up for the Caliphate.

How does this benefit America?”

It doesn't.

That's the point.

Nothing The Won does benefits America.

In every single decision he makes, he selects the option most damaging to this country.

Understand that, and you can predict his preferences with 100% accuracy.

And if that “situation” happens to help unemployment by sending unemployed young people and minorities off to war, BINGO- you’ve just hit the lottery!

Unless they march on DC.

The politicians in the Republican Party should ask the author for permission to use this article word for word on tomorrow’s shows but we know none of them have the spine to do so

In all things, follow the money.

Where is the money in Syria?

They need that pipeline from the Gulf oil producers to compete with the Russian oil that can feed Europe.

Putin and his military base are in Syria to keep the pipeline from being built across Syria to Europe.

WHo benefits?

I think there are multiple versions of chess being played by multiple players with multiple agendas. Obama is one of the instigators while at the same time one of the pawns, who may or may not know he’s being played. I’d guess the Putin and the Saudis have the clearest vision here.

Urkel knows there are hundreds of surface-to-air missiles out there that he lost, and he’d trade a deuce and a a half full of Syrian children’s heads to recover them before the WSJ and Fox News finds out about it.

Also rattling around over there somewhere is a big natural gas pipeline Putin is trying to get built from Russia to Europe - promises big profits for his block and himself if completed - it runs through the general region of Iran and Syria, and is probably somewhere in the mix of his working so hard to keep us from raining missiles on Assad.....
