“We now have THREE reasons O’Bagy was thrown under the bus by ISW, not the least of which is that her “research” was being exposed as a lie.”
Interesting. Thanks for the ping, thouworm. Could the FOURTH be tied to the State Department?
O’Bagy was hailed as a ‘brilliant’ researcher but didn’t have the 411 on the Kagan’s? Or, that Robert Kagan is married to State Department’s Victoria Nuland??
Q. Was O’Bagy introduced to Kim Kagan through Nuland?

OBagy graduated from Georgetown with a bachelors degree in Arabic and went to live in Cairo for two years before returning to Washington to seek her masters and PhD from her alma mater in Arabic Studies. At the end of 2011 she began an internship with the Institute.
(snip)
OBagy, a registered Democrat who voted twice for Obama, admits now that she was naïve about the Institute and Kim and her husband Fred Kagan.

Prior to ISW, she received a Critical Language Scholarship to study Arabic in Tangier Morocco and studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo.

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a program of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Let me broaden the question as follows...
Q. Was OBagy introduced to Kim Kagan through the State Department (and/or Nuland)?
Yes, she claims she was "naive" about the Kagans, which is laughable at best. How is it even remotely possible that she was unaware of Robert Kagan/Victoria Nuland? She was apparently high up enough on the ISW food chain to be chosen as a public face for them but not privy to what would be the equivalent of water-cooler chat about Kagan and Nuland?
And Kim Kagan, hailed as a super-researcher herself, was duped by O'Bagy's claim the she had been awarded her doctorate. Just took her word for it, don'tcha know.
What a nest of vipers.
