GOP leaders eager to avoid blame for a possible government shutdown next month appear confounded by conservatives' passion for using fast-approaching deadlines to derail the implementation of President Barack Obama's health care law.
House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, conceded Thursday his plan was all but dead for quickly passing a temporary spending bill that also defunds Obamacare, make the Senate vote on each idea separately and then send only the portion for keeping the government open to the White House for the president's signature.
Meanwhile, new freelance effort by rank-and-file Republicans to condition keeping the government open or preventing a debt ceiling default on delaying Obamacare for a year hit a brick wall of opposition from Democrats vowing to never let the health care law be delayed or unraveled.

The gop leadership would be ‘confounded’ to find it’s own a$$ with both hands, a map, and a compass.
Should save a Trillion Taxpayer dollars or more, and sh$#-can the Czars, Regulatory Agencies, and handouts to Cronies.
Lack of a Republican PR machine is on purpose. Muddled messaging is a hat trick performed by the usual suspects, because they are not against Obamacare.
Turn the Senate Conservatives loose to PR this thing and rally the troops, and you’ve got a winning ticket and some clout.

All they have to do is pass a budget that defunds Obamacare.
If the Senate won’ pass it or Obama won’t sign it, then it is Obama or the Senate who are responsible for shutting down the gov’t!!!!
And it is the responsibility of the House GOP to make that point clear!
Sounds good to me, but not to the Dems - and they hold the Senate.
I like it! Unfortunately, Obama, Reid, and Pelosi own the media and the point that will be made clear is that the GOP did it.
Defund it and take your medicine. January, 2011, the day Bonor took over should have been the day to defund this nonsense.
