Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), praised President Barack Obama on Wednesday for bringing the Syria strike to Congress, saying that the move gave the chance for the voices of Americans to be heard.
I want to commend President Obama for two different things. Number one, I want to commend President Obama for listening to the bipartisan calls to submit to the constitutional authority of Congress. That was significant, it was the right thing to do and Im glad he did so, Cruz said in a detailed foreign policy speech at the Heritage Foundations 4th Annual Jesse Helms Lecture Series.
And secondly, once the issue came to Congress, that gave the American people a chance to speak up, he added, detailing how his constituents had almost total unanimity against intervention in Syria. (QUIZ: Do you know Ted Cruz?)

Obama was just trying to put the blame on the Republicans so that’s why Obama wanted a vote in Congress
Backhanded compliments at best.
I believe Senator Cruz’s words would be called “damning with faint praise.”
No one should need to PRAISE the wimp in the WH for doing what he’s supposed to do.
I’m rather surprised he did so.
I think Vladimir Putin has a few things he wants to thank Obama for, too.
What a load of picking and choosing quotes BS.
Exactly right!
Polutico.
He wasn’t - REALLY. Sheesh Some people are SO obtuse!!
And so, ultimately, all the NWO programs being pursued by the US government keep inching forward.
Without ever being mentioned publicly by anyone except “conspiracy theorists on the internet”.
See, the Senate is like a club - that’s the mantra of every US Senator. We play nice nice.
Elected by popular vote, so therefore equivalent to the House, but somehow, the Senate is the “upper” chamber.
What a crock.
We won’t ever hear on the news that the Syrian revolt management hierarchy is:
NWO->CIA->Saudi/Qatar/Israeli/Turkey->Terrorists.
Since this gives the US government plausible deniability, we’ll never hear it.
The Russians don’t even ever come out and say it directly. It would open up much too big a can of worms. The fantasy-world history would be exposed as a lie.
But all the power people know what’s going on.
There is no reason for a US in it’s right mind to be AIDING Al-Qada and the MB. AQ was supposedly the ones who caused 9/11 - which started the whole war on terrorism. How can we be siding with our “arch enemy” ????????????
This means AQ and MB are all a hoax, a lie, a tool used by NWO.
Im rather surprised he did so.
RIGHT AND TEDDY WE DO NOT NEED SUCH CATERWALLIN’ LETS NOT JOIN NEWT ON THE COUCH IF YOU DONT MIND...SCANDALIZIN THE BASE IS RATHER STUPID...DON’T YOU THINK? WHAT NEXT? YOU GONNA PIN A MEDAL ON HILLARY?
“Full of Obama praise”.....Politico is full of crap.
When I saw that headline....”Pigs fly,” I knew we were talking about Obama.........is he still wearing that lipstick he stole from Sarah P during the 2008 election?
Women.
Class. Pure class.
I think the correct term is “bitch slapped ... ever so politely”.
The Congress had better start to realize that they have a constitutional responsibility to check and balance the President and not give him a blank check.
And why is the House not voting on this issue?
