In my dioscese, the Bishop said the homily about immigration did not necessarily have to be on the 8th, and our priest talked about Syria, instead. I’m sure the immigration one will be coming up soon.
I have written to mine. My pastor as well as the bishop has heard from me on this. They know there’s no more $ from my family until they renounce this. Those donation envelopes can be used for sending messages
It wouldn't surprise me.
I would find it ironic if one of our deacons, a (legal) immigrant from the PI (who had to wait 15 years for his visa and HATES illegal immigration) was the one tagged to give the homily when it comes.
