PHOENIX - U.S. Representative Kyrsten Sinema was part of a bipartisan congressional delegation that made a three-day visit to Afghanistan this week.
The Arizona Democrat's office says the delegation went to Afghanistan to see the drawdown of the American military presence and the transition of security responsibilities to Afghan forces.

She barely scraped by in 2012 with a 1% victory over black GOP candidate, Vernon Parker. Powell Gammill (Libertarian) essentially stole the victory removing 6% of the vote from play.
I'm not sure whether Parker will try his luck again, but this Kirsten Gillibrand wannabe has described herself as a 'Prada Socialist' and should be vulnerable if the libertarians stay away. Let's give her the concrete shoe treatment.
PS-Expect the news Media to only run positive stories about her, and on the front page for ‘good’ exposure. Sickening.
Barney Frank, pole smoker extraordinaire and that hideous viral senator from Wisconsin. They’re all too proud of fringe deviants in congress.
day-um
there ought to be a rule that any congress critter who spends a our money on fact-finding boondoggle to a war zone should have to stay there at least 30 days, wear full combat gear and live in a tent
So who paid for her trip? Why would you need this little nobody to go to Afghanistan.
She’s likely one of the brainiac operators behind the removal of Christians from the military.
While in Afghanistan, did these parasites have to eat the same cold meals that Obama dictated for the Marines when he threw his girly hissy-fit over Sequestration?
I believe Wendy Rogers will be running again. Vernon won the very close primary between himself, Wendy (Veteran), and ex-Chandler Councilman/Veteran Martin Sepulveda. I hope Vernon stays out this time. When he won, Wendy through herself behind Vernon and helped out his campaign. She would make a good
Rep. for this district.
When Janet Napolitano was governor here and stopping every bill and move by the people to keep the illegals from Mexico from coming here she was suddenly ‘noticed’ by the WH and her career in politics given a huge boost by transporting her into the highest position in Homeland Security. How can you have security and a porous border? Why would she be picked after such a record?
Now, the next very liberal politician out here, Kyrsten Sinema is suddenly getting her career boosted. I believe it’s due to her very liberal communist stance.
I just looked up Wendy Rogers, who looks like she could be Gretta Van Sustren’s sister. The resemblance is uncanny.
It would likely be better to run a new candidate this time around, so if you think she’ll be a solid rep, I’ll back her should she choose to jump in.
Yeah, a moderate...she has described herself as a socialist - using that exact word, and has contributed to Communist Party literature. For whatever reason, the ads run on this took an approach that was a bit “cute” - goofy with outerspace depictions of her being “out there”. They should have stuck with the standard-fare tone flatly declaring she was an extremist, self admitted socialist, and participant in communist party literature.
Here’s the ad - https://www.nrcc.org/video/too-far-out-az-09-kyrsten-sinema/
The goofy tone of it distracts from the message - should have stuck straight to the point and run a standard style ad for information this serious.
Last election, I was in my old district so I voted for Matt Salmon. Now I am in Wendy’s district. I supported her last go-round and I’d support her in a heartbeat over Sinema.
My assessment too. These ads may actually have driven young people to the polls for her.
Just be flat, straight, blunt.
She’s a communist.
This seems like an active campaign site. Is she already in the race for Sinema’s seat?
I think so.
Wendy Rogers’s path to the GOP nomination just got easier: Mayor Vernon Parker, whom I supported in his congressional bids in 2010 and 2012 and who ran a strong campaign against Sinema in 2012, has announced that he’s not running for Congress and instead will run for the Arizona Corporation Commission: http://roselawgroupreporter.com/2014/01/mason-parker-team-run-corporation-commission/
Wendy Rogers would make a good, conservative congresswoman, at a time in which we really need to increase the number of pro-life women in Congress (hopefully, Martha McSally of AZ-02 would also join her in Congress). Sinema knows she’s in trouble in the district, which is quite marginal, which is why she’s pretending to be a “moderate Democrat” despite her socialist and moonbat past. This is a seat that we can win.
BTW, in this picture, Rogers looks more like Susan Sarandon’s sister than Greta Van Susteren’s sister: http://www.wendyrogers.org/about-wendy/
