... each Tomahawk cruise missile likely to be fired on Syria costs an estimated $1.5 million each to replace. That's great news for Raytheon (NYSE: RTN ) , which builds the missile, but not for the Navy's budget. Plus, if the U.S. fires missiles, that'll add an additional $30 million per week for as long as the Navy's Nimitz and Truman are engaged in combat.
Those costs may not seem like much when you factor in overall defense spending, but thanks to the nature of sequestration, the Navy, as well as the rest of the military, is hurting.

Obama could go on a weekend vacation for this amount.
For more on Obama check out my blog: The Obama Clarifier.
Links to articles and videos to bring enlightenment for anyone wondering about the leadership of BHO.

I like the way you lay out specific issues on your blog about The demoRats’s Messiah. I’ve seen so many lists that are so much overkill you can’t even read it. It’s just too much for the brain to comprehend how bad this guy is and how many lies he’s told, bad legislation he’s been a part of, and policies have been implemented since 0 took office.
Good job.
What difference does it make?
The black president will kill Christians and print billions and American men and women will dies.........but by god he will have his legacy.
“Good job.”
Thanks. You say that you like The Obama Clarifier. The blog has had nearly 6,000 hits.
In this blog I just try to be low key in linking to articles that un-informed Americans need to know before blindly accepting Obama’s “leadership”.
I try to avoid humor and silliness and just lay it out for the reader to “decide for yourself.”

Oh no, will the cash strapped military delay Bradley Manning’s sex change surgery so it can pay Raytheon? Priorities, priorities...
I thought our great friends the Saudis were going to pay for everything.
Obama attacks patriotic Americans and defends al Qaeda.
So where is Congress?
As usual, drunk, whoring, partying, screwing their
constituents, making $$$$ from laws they pass FOR OTHERS,
busy banking their kickbacks from al Qaeda and the Sauds,
running their child brothels, protecting themselves
and their IRS and NSA corruption, and lying, lying, lying.
This will not end well.
Kerry said the Arabs will pay for it. Forget about the military sequester that Obama demanded as part of that 2011 bill that CUT funding for supporting those operations.
Notice how Obama is reading directly out of the Bush-Cheney ‘how to sell a war’ playbook.
That was that Iraq oil was going to pay for that war.
Lies are lies. Obama ran and won against what he is doing now. Now he demands war while holding funding hostage to social spending. You see McCain pointing this out? NOOO. He is on Obama team
how does the guidance system of this thing work?
what if Assad puts up a big bunch
of GPS jammers?
Then they brought the cash offer to our administration - pimp out your military for us and we may add a bonus after Assad is removed from power.
Needless to say, slimy greedy folk like McCain and Kerry were drooling. So Obama went and got the videos to show the world why we need to make money sending our military to work for some Arab states.
So far, if you discount all the Navy ships and related “build up” expenses, the “war” will cost nothing UNLESS and UNTIL odumbo starts firing. Then the cost will be far greater than anyone can estimate when you add in the lost lives of American military personnel. Any American life is far more valuable than odumbo’s ego.
We have NO BUSINESS getting involved in the Syrian mess.
It will cost us everything.
Figures are meaningless.
Remember, Bush estimated the Iraq strike would cost $50-60 billion.......then Bush fired Larry Lindsey because Lindsay dared to say the war might cost more like $100 billion. That was in 2007 dollars.
FAST FORWARD TO TODAY Iraq and Afghanistan today total about $3 TRILLION.
If we think the missiles are expensive, wait until things really develop...Might make the 7 trillion added deficit seem like peanuts.
So , is this the way to overcome resistance to sequestration : armed conflict?
This is something I would have imagined having come from the mind of Axerod or Rahm Emanuel.
In june /2012 OBomber was seen on an airport tarmac with a book . The name of the book Obama is holding is called:
" The Post-American World " , and it was written by a Muslim ~Fareed Zakaria .
This books seems to be OBombers playbook.
3/27/03 testimony before a Senate Appropriations Hearing
a. Rumsfeld:
I don't believe that the United States has the responsibility for reconstruction, in a sense...[Reconstruction] funds can come from those various sources I mentioned: frozen assets, oil revenues and a variety of other things, including the Oil for Food, which has a very substantial number of billions of dollars in it.
b. Wolfowitz:
We're dealing with a country that can really finance its own reconstruction, and relatively soon.
<><> In Iraq the US military "trained" Iraquis for over 5 years. Here in the US, we take freckle-faced kids off the farm send them to boot camp and in three weeks we have battle-ready soldiers.
<><> In Afghanistan, the US DOD, the CIA, and other agencies, deposited zillions for the war effort into the Bank of Kabul. Afghan insiders were able to withdraw billions--no requirements about paying it back. Kharzi was seen loading billions on trucks to take out of the country.
The US military was forced to destroy billions in armaments left on the battlefields so the Afghan connivers could not get their hands on them to sell on the black market.
And this joker wants to repeat these atrocities in Syria.
“...How Much Will a War With Syria Cost? ...
If a SINGLE American dies helping the Muslim Brotherhood to oust Assad, it’s too high a cost.
No Syrian Ever Called Me A “Cracka”...
“...How Much Will a War With Syria Cost?...”

Wrong question to ask, it is a distraction.
Doesn’t matter what the cost is, if it is the wrong thing to do.
Doesn’t matter what the cost is, if it is the right thing to do.
