French jobless rate tops 3 million for first time

French unemployment rose for the first time above 3.0 million in the second quarter, but in a sign the upward trend is tailing off, the unemployment rate rose by only 0.1 percentage point to 10.5 percent, official data showed on Thursday. …

Hasn’t their Socialist president not learned from ours that you can dump millions out of the workforce to up the percentage working.? If only one person in the USA had a job, everyone else would be counted as dropping out of the workforce and Obama would crow about 0% unemployment.
