Lebanese media: Russia, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria at high alert (Why Obama Backed Down?)
Ynet ^ | 9-2-13 | Israel News

Posted on 09/02/2013 10:52:32 AM PDT by tcrlaf

Ibrahim al-Amin, editor-in-chief of the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, said that Russia instructed its military off the coast of Syria "to prepare for a serious confrontation."

He noted that Iran, in parallel, was on high alert of its navy, air force and its rocket systems, and that Syrian army forces not involved in the war with the rebels were at the ready. At the same time Hezbollah, according to Al-Amin, established a war room monitoring all its rocket systems, and called for all Hezbollah members to man their stations.

I know YNET stories, especially the updates, are prone to be questionable, but Russia telling it's Navy to prepare for battle, knowing the NSA is likely listening, would be a real reason for Obama to suddenly do an about-face.

Likely they were crapping in their pants that anyone would stand up to the "ONE!".

The G8 should be real interesting....

Quite frankly, it may end up being Russia’s threats that stop this insanity.

If not, stop worrying and just learn to love the bomb!

News Flash! Bombing another country is an act of WAR -- even if it's a "limited and narrow action", and there are "no boots on the ground".

And it’s only “limited” if the countries you are firing missiles at don’t fire back or that Russia or Iran does not exercise a limited strike back.

Wouldn’t it be something if missiles were fired from our ships and Russia took out the missiles before they reached land.

Funny you mentioned that. That thought crossed my mind too.
BTW who gets to decide how limited the strike is? What if Syria and
Russia make limited strikes, in return? Say hello to WW3 and Dr. Strangelove.
Stop the insanity. Let Allah sort it our.

The rabbit hole begins when you ask yourself why does the US Government want to topple Syrian Government sooooo badly? Obama drew a Red Line on purpose so that he could stage another “Fast and Furious” and blame the other guys. He got bitch slapped by Putin calling him a monkey with a hand grenade. Then moving anti missile cruisers into the area.
We are seeing 2 superpowers with 2 opposite objectives. Neither will forfeit their objectives.
Syria is is too important for both of them for some unknown reason. For some reason Putin has become very aggressive to Obama after the Snowden situation. Did Snowden show him something out of all that stolen data? Just sayin.

Fearless leader has really got his ass in a hummer....this is what happens when a little two-bit community organizer tries to act like a leader....it's only an act. Having rather low intelligence he never dreamed when he was shooting his mouth off in a vain attempt to look like.....oh who shall I say...Ronald Reagan...he would find himself in a Gordian knot where his pea brain and motor mouth keeps bringing his head right back up his ass!!!!!! photo head-up-ass.jpg

How many ships do we have off Syria? how many does the Russians? Do the Syrians have any sort of Navy to fight us if we attack? If it came to a naval battle in that theater, who would win? If Russio-Syrian units hit our ships, would UK join in the fray or wait? What about France or Turkey?

No no. He’s simply backing down because someone told him that if he fires on Assad’s forces the “rebels” will sodomize the corpses and scream Allah Ackbar while praising him on CNN.

Russian assets are much closer than ours, but a protracted Naval Battle isn’t in the works, I think.

Putin laid down his own Red Line to Obama, and Obama didn’t just blink, but he PANICKED...

The Japs found that out in 1941.

It was just reported that Russia is moving ships into the area. It didn’t say how many. One of them is a “spy” ship. And Russians are manning Assad’s defense sites. If we kill Russians, it’s going to be game on.

The one thing that could make us go is the chickenhawks don’t want to be told what to do by the Russians. And it’s obvious they don’t want to be told by us.

That’s precisely the precedent I was thinking about. They didn’t want a war with the U.S. — just wanted to take you out of the action for a while. We know how that “limited and narrow action” turned out.

There was a posting that said Libya was caretaker of a lot of gold bullion, into trillions, for the European bankers including the Rothchilds who have a long history of nefarious shenanigans involving money. The article said it was known that Khadafi, who we helped get rid of, got this gold bullion shipped to Syria under control of Assad. The nations like the USA and particularly France with the Rothchilds and England would certainly have a big stake in recovering the gold bullion. I read to of talk that Russia wants to talk to the USA government about Syria. I would think that Russia would know if there is any European banker gold bullion in Syria. The plot thickens and again it just might be USA soldiers will die for someones booty. Last time it was for oil riches this time for gold.

“Bombing another country is an act of WAR...”

Yes...and Obamas would be “First Strike” no matter what his motive is...or the size of that strike.

Russia and the US are both firmly planted with ships in the MED..the Red Sea gulf and all points where the flow of oil travels...and that’s below and above the waters.

UK /France and others have also been moving ships etc....so war is already lined up. Congressional approval gives time...

Watch what nations are doing in moving their military and ships...not what it’s leaders are saying so much.
