The advantage of Obama’s failed bluff would be that the Egyptian Army can crack down on the Muslim Brotherhood and not have to fear repurcussions, but the loser in the failed bluff would be The Philippines - China’s gonna really mess with them in the South China Sea in the near future.
See how that works? I never saw the Egyptian Army roundup of Morsi as a coup, koo, coo ( whatever). I always said it was much closer to impeachment. When a new leader starts violating the constitution he was elected under he ought to be impeached post haste. Don’t know whether the Egypt constitution prescribes a specific method but the army figgered one out. And don’t forget it is still the young, westernized , folks in Egypt who have had a bellyfull of heavy-handed gov’t krap——that very large force is still out there.
Hey! Don’t forget Obama can give asylum to Morsi’s two sons who were born in the USA. Then Obama can rally a sympathy movement for the boys with all the other Muslims in his government along with all other Muslims in the USA plus fun loving USA citizens to run one of the boys for POTUSA, they are eligible according to some people, and have Pelosi stack the deck for a win-that is for the Muslems and especially the Saudi King with his oil.
