As reported by the Washington Post, Ginsburg will preside over the wedding of Michael Kaiser, the president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, and John Roberts <<
Yikes. No wonder he went to the dark side on Obamacare. ;-)

Might be a silly question but under what authority can Ginsburg unite ANYBODY in wedlock? She’s a Supreme Court justice, not a justice of the peace or an ordained minister. As far as I know, the right to perform a wedding is granted by states. What state has empowered her?

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is to officiate at a wedding ceremony between two men this weekend, just two months after the court issued high-profile rulings on the highly divisive issue. How appropriate (and vile) that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is to officiate at a wedding ceremony between two men this weekend.

I’m more convinced each day we are living in the growing shadow of Divine Judgement. Jerusalem 586 BC, Rome 476 AD, Constantinople 1453, Paris 1814, Moscow 1917, Berlin 1945, and now Washington...2014?
IIRC, all of these cities, empires, reichs or nations became decadent and loathsome....some more than others, of course....but the morality degenerated rapidly and so did the economies and defense.
Which is what is happening now.
