Ghouta, Syria — As the machinery for a U.S.-led military intervention in Syria gathers pace following last week’s chemical weapons attack, the U.S. and its allies may be targeting the wrong culprit.

This article raises an interesting thought for me.  Perhaps others have been voicing this earlier.

What if it is found that the Syrian Rebels were the ones that used chemical weapons?

Is that a red line, Obama cannot accept?

I have heard no talk whatsoever about that reality.  Anyone else?

Does he use a limited cruise missile attack on the rebels?  If not, why not?

Personally I think we should stay out of it all together, but Obama laid down these ground rules.  I didn't.

Let's see how he dances around the issue, if it is proven the rebels were the culprits here.

But Obozo painted himself into a corner by making his ultimatum. Now what does he do? Stay out and look weaker and less credible than he already appears? Or get involved in something we shouldn't? In the US when he does something stupid he just blames the Republicans and his wingmen in the media back him up, but this time he looks like an idiot to the whole world. Syrian state TV says the military has found a chemical laboratory
which produces poisonous materials in the town of Jobar on the outskirts of Damascus.
Sources claim the REBELS were planning to stuff shells with the chemicals and use them to attack the capital.
RT's Middle East correspondent Paula Slier reports.
