A cyclist who had his front teeth shattered after an attack by teenagers while riding through Portland, Oregon will soon be speaking clearly again thanks to a generous dentist.
Andy Sweeney, 20, was intentionally struck with a traffic cone last weekend and a photo of his cracked-tooth grin quickly went viral. Instead of being an embarrassment, the photo became the key to fixing his smile after a fundraising effort and a kindly dentist came to his aid.
‘Some kids threw a traffic cone at me while I was riding my bike down MLK,’ Sweeney wrote next to the aftermath photo in a Reddit post. ‘Any other sh***y areas I should avoid?’
Two of the recent Illinois transplant’s front teeth were almost completely missing after the unprovoked attack just a month after his move to Portland. ‘I was coming up on these three kids,’ he told Oregon Live, ‘and they just threw a traffic cone at me. It hit me square in the teeth.’
The impact left him missing most of two of his front teeth.
‘It's crazy,’ Sweeney told KGW. ‘I don't really understand their motivation or what they were going for.’
He posted about the incident to Reddit and asked for advice about where else he should ride his bike and the photo he added started attracting attention.

Another black on white crime. And he came from Illinois, land of feral youth attacks, only in Chicago they do it in mobs.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Sweeney ( a white non-Hispanic) deliberately swerved to hit the youths calling them the n word while doing his evil, racist work. He was probably waving a Confederate battle flag as well. That’s most likely the truth. Yeah. (snicker)

Some people are slow learners, lol. I’ll bet he’s up to speed now. However, in his defense, he was new, didn’t know the area, and maybe didn’t see he was on MLK drive, or road, whatever. Wonder when the race wars will begin. At some point one would think Whitey would get tired of being picked off one by one.
Never underestimate the power of political correctness and the brainwashing that has gone on in the West regarding race. This guy is only 20 years old and is likely a Liberal given him wanting to move to Portland. He likely really doesn't understand that there is a greater threat to him riding down MLK Boulevard than there is riding down Main Street in Mayberry. Then, if he did for a second think that MLK Boulevard would be more dangerous, he would be so overcome with white guilt that he would ride down MLK Blvd. anyway to prove he's not racist.
So many people today can't think straight or won't think straight because it's un-PC.
There is a reason for that. No matter what the makeup of a city or town council, mayorship, etc. whenever a street, boulevard, etc. is up for a name change to MLK whatever, the white people go along with it because it is a good warning sign for out-of-towners and clueless residents.
