A federal court today upheld California’s law making it illegal for minors to receive counseling for unwanted same-sex attractions.
Gov. Jerry Brown signed SB 1172 into law last year. The legislation bans sexual-orientation change effort (SOCE) counseling for anyone under 18.
“The minors we represent do not want to act on same-sex attractions,” said Liberty Counsel Chairman Mat Staver. “They are greatly benefiting from this counseling. Their grades have gone up, their self-esteem has improved, and their relationships at home are much improved.”
The legal group said it will ask the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to rehear the case, or file a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Legislators and judges in the state of California have essentially barged into the private therapy rooms of victimized young people,” Staver said. “(They have) told them that their confusion … is normal and they should pursue their unwanted and dangerous same-sex sexual attractions and behavior, regardless of whether those minors desire their religious beliefs to trump their unwanted attractions. The law is an astounding overreach by the state.”
So it’s OK for them to recruit, but not for therapists to offer this kind of counseling?

Isn’t it interesting that these announcements are cobbled together on one day, for maximum effect? The IRS essentially making same-sex “marriage” legal nationwide, and then this homo-Nazi decision on the same day?

This is great news. The longer these laws are debated and the more parents hear that their child needn’t suffer from homosexuality all their lives the better to undo the harm homosexualizing our country has done.

So, what happens when your Kid tells you he was “born” a Serial Killer or a Democrat?
Am I understanding this correctly? It’s ok to get a sex change (which involves mutilating surgery and basically makes you a freak) but it’s not ok to get a sexual orientation change (which involves no surgery and moves you into the normal mainstream).
