Don’t argue with a woman. They will wear you down every time.

This incident really has me occupied tonight.
The Supreme Court says that check points are ok, but detaining without cause is not valid.

In the ‘new’ America, citizens are treated worse than non-citizens. She’s an extremist!

I crossed into Canada two years ago - in my Canadian friend’s car, as his guest - showed my US pp - and the bitch at the border asked us to justify how we knew each other - and asked me if I had ever been arrested. When I said, “no”, she said -very aggressively - “not even when you were younger?” Again, I said no.
I have been traveling out of the US since early childhood, and that was the most gratitously unpleasant border crossing I’ve ever had - except for Bulgaria in communist days.

I suspect that she has an ex husband somewhere —

Very brave young woman. Even though she didn’t know all the legalese, she hung in there like a real patriot.
And for 15 minutes! AND she made them back down! We all could use her courage. Just DAMN!

This appears to be DHS` 100 mile non-constitutional buffer area wherein fallacious policy "all citizen rights are void".
This video proves it is illegal because they admitted on camera they cannot enforce their own so-called "policy" because it is unconstitutional-
STAND YOUR GROUND, GIRL!

Ditto. All i could dig up was an ACLU pamphlet saying that they can detain you if they 'suspect' a crime

Maybe. If so, she made good use of all that anger.

At 7:03, she has a cracked windshield.
My thought - They could have ‘made’ up any reason to detain her.

I've crossed the US/Canada border in Vermont on a semi frequent basis over the last few years and only had one problem...with US authorities...that was small and resolved in a couple of minutes. One thing that's surprised me is that when driving south away from the border on I-91 I've often seen border patrol cars as far as 25-30 miles from the border.I've never seen them stop anyone but if they ever stop me I hope that I'd just say,in a clear Boston accent, that I'm a US citizen and that they, the *Border Patrol*,have no probable cause to detain me.I don't do drugs, smuggle people, cash or cigarettes so that wouldn't be an issue.
To: Dacula
I don’t get it. I’ve take a semi truck through others and probably that same checkpoint lots of times and all I’ve gotten asked is “what country were you born in”.
One time on vacation with my family I went through at about 6:30 in the morning. Officer waved me through before I even got my window rolled down to talk to her.
Anyways when BP lies to a driver they need to not crack a smile doing it. Might help.

Also, one would think that the *Border Patrol* doesn't have the authority to search for drugs anywhere *but* at the border itself. The DEA certainly would...as would state, county and local police...as long as they have probable cause.
