Verdict: Maj. Nidal Hasan sentenced to death for Fort Hood shooting rampage
WFAA TV (Dallas) ^ | 8/28/13 | JASON WHITELY

FORT HOOD – U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan will be executed for the 2009 shooting rampage on post that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded.

The jury panel of 13 U.S. Army officers delivered the verdict on post moments before 2 p.m. Wednesday. They deliberated for less than three hours.

Last Friday, the same panel unanimously found Hasan guilty of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood.

This sentencing verdict ends the court martial after 17 days. In it, Hasan, who defended himself, never revealed a motive, did not present a defense and refused to cross-examine any of his victims.

Hasan will immediately lose his rank of major and he will stop getting paid in two weeks.

The Army will soon transfer him to the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. to begin serving his sentence.

But an execution is not imminent. Hasan automatically gets an appeal and it has been more than 50 years since the military executed anyone.

More to come.

I believe that the money will go into an account that he can’t touch. He can have $80 a month which can come from money he earns or from money he has on the outside. So, he won’t be spending much which means it will all role up to his estate for distribution in accordance with his will. My guess is that the Muslim Brotherhood will get it.

Fifteen more years and a 100 million more in taxpayer dollars for appeals before sentence is carried out?

You’re giving me an idea, here! Needle Noodle will be able to receive fan mail when he gets to his new digs. He should get a few pics of execution chairs/gurneys/sand holes/court yard posts/ crusifixion crosses every day just to keep him cheered up. If he gets enough mail he might be able to suicide himself by paper cuts.

” it has been more than 50 years since the military executed anyone.”

So lets not wait another 50 years. Get it done.

...it has been more than 50 years since the military executed anyone.

Let's hope the military makes an exception in this case. A little vermin extermination never hurt an army base...it made it much safer for wives, children and other vulnerable inhabitants.

Fort Leavenworth's Death Row Five, soon to be Six. The last Execution performed by the United States military was that of of John A. Bennett for rape and attempted murder in 1961.

Ronald A. Gray, convicted in April 1988 of several murders and rapes while stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. (25 years and counting) -
On December 15, 1986, Gray abducted, raped, sodomized, and murdered Private Laura Lee Vickery-Clay, age 18. On January 3, 1987, he raped and attempted to murder Private Mary Ann Lang Nameth, age 20. Three days later, on January 6, he raped, sodomized, robbed, and murdered a civilian, Kimberly Ann Ruggles, age 23.

Dwight J. Loving, convicted in April 1989 of killing two cab drivers while stationed at Fort Hood. (24 years+)
Loving was an Army Private First Class stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. On the night of December 11, 1988, he committed two armed robberies of convenience stores, netting less than $100. He then decided to rob some cab drivers. On December 12, during the course of those robberies, Loving murdered two taxicab drivers and attempted to murder a third.

Hasan K. Akbar, convicted in May 2005 of attacking fellow soldiers in Kuwait, killing two, during the invasion of Iraq. (Another Soldier of Allah? Only 8 years so far!)
Former Sergeant Hasan Karim Akbar (born Mark Fidel Kools on April 21, 1971) threw four hand grenades into three tents in which other members of the 101st Airborne Division were sleeping, and fired his rifle at fellow soldiers in the ensuing chaos. Army Captain Christopher S. Seifert was fatally shot in the back, and Air Force Major Gregory L. Stone was killed by a grenade. Fourteen other soldiers were wounded by Akbar, mostly from grenade shrapnel.

Andrew Witt, convicted in October 2005 of killing a fellow airman and his wife at their home at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. An appeals court ordered his case reopened earlier this month. (Almost 7 years.)
In the early morning hours of 5 July 2004, two bodies were discovered in a base house located at 1152A Fort Valley Street, Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Georgia. Senior Airman (SrA) Andrew "Andy" Schliepsiek was found dead, lying on his back in the living room. He had been stabbed in the back and chest. His wife, Jamie Schliepsiek, was also dead. She was wearing only a t-shirt and underwear and lay approximately 10 feet away. There was a large blood stain on the wall behind Jamie’s body, and blood was also visible on the door, floor, nightstand, and bedroom lamp. At a nearby hospital, a third victim, SSgt Jason King, underwent a surgery for the five knife wound injuries sustained during a violent attack.

Timothy Hennis, convicted in April 2010 of killing a North Carolina mother and her two children a quarter-century earlier. (Only 3 years on Death Row [THIS TIME]!)
Master Sgt. Timothy Hennis was convicted [by North Carolina] once before of killing Kathryn Eastburn and her daughters, Kara, 5, and Erin, 3. He even spent several years on death row awaiting execution after his 1986 conviction, but he gained his freedom after an appeal and acquittal at a second trial in 1989 [discounted eyewitness testimony]. This third time [Military Court], Army prosecutors also had powerful incriminating evidence that was not available in the two earlier trials: A prosecution witness testified that a swab taken from Kathryn Eastburn's body contained DNA from Hennis.

“YES!!! Second Reaction: Here come the appeals, the protests, the “Free Nidal” fanboys and fangirls, and the T-shirt franchise for the legal defense fund.

This man will never die.”...

The appeals will go on until the day odumbo leaves office and then he will grant Hasan a full pardon. Its a muslim tadition to take care of one another. (sarc)

Now that the trial is over the victims can proceed with their damage claims. Remember they were put on hold for the criminal trial?. Whatever net worth Needle Noodle has will be locked up for distribution to his targets/families. And if he publishes any big-selling jihady books, etc. the proceeds will go to the restitution fund. Along with any other kind of money he might make/receive. That’s a minor reason to keep him around for awhile-—so that he has to address the damage claims. And all those court proceedings might be worse than death.

I was near the point of vomiting, listening to Dear Leader spew all those absolute lies, so I had to turn off the radio. No amount of Pepto Bismol can cure gastrobamaitis.

I am just afraid that somehow Hasan will not be executed due to some Obama wrench in the gears, and that we taxpayers will have to continue to feed and house this abomination. Otherwise, they could tip him out of his wheelchair into a field of feral Texas hogs and smear him with peanut butter. No fuss, no muss, and it's a GREEN solution, whoo-hoo.

Hassan is at least a decade or two away from execution so Obama won't have anything to do with it.

I wont' be surprised... in fact, I'll bet on it. nobama will give him a full pardon.

I’d be willing to bet that if he’s locked up in a military prison cell, the other prisoners will KNOW what he did and let’s just say that he won’t be well treated at the cell lines, in the food lines, in the restroom, or shower, out on the play yard...Little Nadel won’t be finding friends anywhere...

What a hand to draw to...

In Las Vegas, that would be a real loser, and an extra card would only deepen the debt.

What is WRONG with our military that it can’t execute the vermin that prey on society?
