Cornel West said that under President Barack Obama there has been an increase in what he called the "new Jim Crow" and claimed his presidency has thus been a failure.
Appearing in a Monday interview on Al Jazeera America's Talk to Al Jazeera with David Shuster, West said 2.5 million new prisoners have been incarcerated while Obama has been in office mostly "because of soft drugs" and the disparity in "crack cocaine versus regular cocaine" users. West referred to this phenomenon as the "new Jim Crow" because he said minority communities and the poor are disproportionately impacted.

Oh, yeah. West is the principal promoter of the White Privilege craze that is surging through the more stupid and illiterate of our academic/media ruling class. He's only disappointed at 0bama for not tearing the country down fast enough to suit him.
West is as intellectually honest as any of the far left blacks.

What we see on the surface as going wrong (skyrocketing drug abuse and crimes) is only the symptom, not the disease.
The disease is clinging to the devil.
In a sense yes sympathy SHOULD go to these folks, but not the kind of sympathy that comes from humans. It’s the kind that comes from God, and instead of feeding them treats while they wallow in their pits, it grants them a share in God’s glory and thereby raises them out of their pits.
I wonder if these Jim Beams are poor because they spend all their money on crack?
