I asked her how she ever got through so much mail and she told me that she was able to toss about 75% of it in the trash with a simple test: namely, those who promoted these type of courses, Women's Studies and the like.
Another 75% of the remaining 25% disqualified themselves in like manner with just a little bit of on-line research. That left something like 6% of her offers available for further consideration.
Ah, another indication of a college which will have absolutely no standards - moral or intellectual.

I’ll admit my mostly liberal arts undergraduate work was not the most market-oriented career path I could have chosen. Still, I feel pretty good about the fact that I never picked a minor in anything called queer studies.
But then again, I am a meat-eating member of the white power structure. So you know, I must driven by an innate intolerance for such things or something.
