A majority of Americans oppose free public education for the children of parents who entered the country illegally, according to a new poll released today.
According to the 1,001 adults surveyed in May for the 45th annual Phi Delta Kappa International/Gallup Poll of the Public’s Attitudes Toward the Public Schools, the 55 percent in opposition varies dramatically by political party: 34 percent of Democrats oppose it, compared to 81 percent of Republicans.

The sad part is that even if both parties were to acknowledge it and claim they agree, it would just mean doing nothing in the other direction.
Problems once fixed don’t win elections. Promises to fix existing problems win elections.
