“I wish Ted had been born on US soil..”
His birth in the jurisdiction of the United States would not have made him a natural born citizen of the United States, because his father was a citizen of Cuba until 2005. His mother’s U.S. citizenship may have been sufficient to qualify him to become a U.S. citizen using the statutory law of the immigration and naturalization act/s, but citizenship gained by such means is the antithesis of natural born citizenship requiring no such staturoty laws. Pure and simple, it is impossible for Sen. Ted Cruz to be a natural born citizen, because the facts of his birth disqualify him.
His mothers U.S. citizenship may have been sufficient to qualify him to become a U.S. citizen using the statutory law of the immigration and naturalization act/s,

If Ted Cruz had been born in the US why would immigration and naturalization be involved ???
His mother was over 19, born in Delaware, of US citzen parents, an NBC herself
He would have been a US citizen just by being born here..
What5 he needs to be is an NBC..
Hes not ..
although he was born an American, plus Cuban from his father and canadian from his birth there, he is not NBC..
NBC for overseas births is reserved for the children of US military or diplomats, not private citizens..
Ted’s parents were not in the service sent to canada by our government..
They chose to move to Canada to work in the oil business..temp or not I dont know..
If Ted’s Cuban citizen father had a green card he would have had to return to the US once a year before the year was up..
around 1970 registered aliens couldnt stay away from the US for more than 365 days at a time...
I wonder if he did so..
or if he even had a green card..
I*m still wondering also why Ted’s father waited all those years to become an American citizen..
Nothing was stopping him to do so earlier...
William Xavier, you are my new best friend.
The 1990 edition of Black says this of Natural-born citizen:” Persons who are born within the jurisdiction of a national government, i.e. in its territorial limits, or citizens temporally residing abroad. Given that his natural mother is and always has been an American, Cruz qualifies.
