I heard on red-eye radio this morning that TSA will be doing security at NFL games now. Some friends of mine have season tickets and invited me to go to a game or two. I’m glad I found out about this. I will not be going.
If everyone would boycott the NFL sighting the over reach of these TSA goons, this crap would end quickly. I know folks won’t though. I heard some moron on radio this morning saying this was a good thing.
This country is done.
My sister and I traveled last week. Talk about creepy TSA. The BIG question we were asked in Tampa and in Rochester was, “Are you carrying any large bags of food? Any large bags of candy?” I felt they were purposely insulting people, just to keep them in line, and daring someone to ask, “Why do you care about candy on an airplane? Shouldn’t you be checking for more important items?” But they know they need to train you to STFU, be abused and insulted, and move on.
I wanted to say, “Well, now that you mention it, on our way in I stopped at Costco and bought this enormous tub of licorice whips, and this gigantic bag of Jolly Ranchers. Is that a problem?”
Also, when the question was being asked, the agent wasn’t on the other side of the conveyor belt or even a respectable (respectFUL?) distance away. They were literally in your face — 7 or 8 inches away with the body bowed toward you. Creepy X 10.
