Senate President John Morse, facing a historic recall election over his anti-gun votes, was a little too honest in a Colorado Springs Gazette article today, saying that talking to his constituents door-to-door is boring and tedious.
Usually its not smart politically to say youre bored by talking with the very people you are seeking to keep you in office.
...
This is not the first time Morse has spoken derisively of contact with constituents. When on MSNBC during the gun debate, Morse bragged about advising his fellow Democratic Senators to ignore emails from their constituents.

A new TV ad by Rocky Mountain Gun Owners slams Senate President John Morse for his labeling emails from constituents as toxic.

This guy sounds like a professional politician.
Disdainful and contemptuous of the people; mendacious when seeking their votes and traitorous when carrying out their wishes.
He should run as a Republican. Half of FR would vote for him since the Dems are worse.
Most well informed people are familiar with the adage, You Get the Government You Deserve. The identity of the first person to use that phrase seems to be in some dispute, yet many notable speakers and writers have used the phrase on numerous occasions. Among them are such disparate thinkers as Thomas Jefferson, H.L. Mencken, and Ayn Rand.
The Dem voters in CO will no doubt reward him with a place in Washington if he loses this recall. He's tailor-made for the job.
CO Dem Senators suffer another legal setback in recall challenge.
Thanks for the link. That is a well done ad. RMGO is the best rkba group around.
“Um...let’s see...talk to the voters? Or, eczema? Voters or eczema? Voters or eczema? Umm...tough decision.”
“Guess I’m gonna have to go with eczema...”
Being a public servant and serving your constituents is just too demeaning for a world-historical figure like John Morse. He’s bigger than that.
LOL. Ain’t it the truth.
In the last 4 days I have been totally convinced. Check my post history to see several freepers prove that point. It’s a race to the bottom to see how much people can excuse.
It seems Morse is more the rule, than the exception...from the lowest level of political spectrum to the highest.
There are many reasons the country is in dire straights today, but this total disregard of constituents is a major one.
Hopefully people see this arrogant ass for what he is and toss him out. What a condescending clown.
Agreed. But we have plenty just like him. No different really than the Pubs that refuse to take calls, ignore emails and skip townhalls. This idiot was just open in his disdain.

A most excellent link!
RMGO is the best Second Amendment group in Colorado; I wouldn't, however, say it's doing a better job than Buckeye Firearms in Ohio or the Virginia Citizens' Denfese League. Colorado didn't really need a state Second Amendment defense organization until just a few years ago.

to the unwashed masses. I mean, these guys actually
think that they are sending me to do their bidding.
Get me back to Georgetown! I’m missing cocktail parties !!”
Thanks
I do appreciate honesty in a politician. It is such a rare commodity.
