Argo director Ben Affleck may be one of Hollywood's leading liberals, but he could take the extra step and enter politics in the not too distant future. That's the opinion of his wife, actor Jennifer Garner, who suggested Affleck's future career direction in a forthcoming interview in Allure magazine.

Who says he’ll give up anything? More likely he will double that in bennies. Like they nearly all do with legalized insider trading.
Then there’s the promise of future earnings guarenteed via speaking fees and the ass kissing that elected office commands over and above that of a mere actor...

He should try acting sometime.
Which doesn't in the slightest qualify him for public office, of course. But in this day and age you get elected if your spouse croaked while "serving" i.e. Callahan, Bono, Capps, etc. so he'll probably get whatever position he runs for.
So he is not changing professions.
