He’s not a republican, why would anyone expect him to endorse a republican. He’s about as republican as Bloomberg.

Christie has strengths and faults. One of his most glaring faults is that he is only for Christie. No team loyalty at all. He’s the Terrell Owens or Chad OchoCinco of politics.

In politics, you back your party’s candidate, period.

It's funny how someone so fat can be so petty.

There's really bad blood there. Christie knows that Lonegan is more principled than he is, and way smarter, which Lonegan made uncomfortably clear in his primary ads against Christie.

In other words, Christie will campaign for 0bama, but not a pro-life, free-market conservative in his own party.

“It doesn’t seem like that’s something he would invest in,” said one member of Christie’s inner circle. “Resources are limited.”

Exactly. All those limited resources are tied up in doughnut futures.

Lonegan ran against Christie in the Republican gubernatorial primary in 2009. Christie won with 55 percent of the vote. Lonegan received 42 percent.

Christie pulled out all the stops for this special election. He scheduled an actual primary election, rather than leaving the choice of candidates to the two party's leadership in smoke-filled rooms. He scheduled the special election on October 16 -- which is a Wednesday, and just a few weeks before the Governor's election on November 5th.

If any election was ever designed to favor a truly conservative candidate like Lonegan in New Jersey, it's a special election on a Wednesday a few weeks before a general election. Only the core voters of either party are likely to make it to the polls. Of course, Christie didn't do this because he wanted to help Lonegan. He did it because he didn't want to appear on the same ballot with Cory Booker.

So far the polling doesn't look too good for Lonegan.

There are some ethical/business questions with Booker that might gain some traction before the election if the media decides to go after it. We'll see how this works out. I am not optimistic.

Isn’t there a certain blonde “conservative” talking head who thought Christie was the bee’s knees during the last election cycle.

Christie can’t support a Republican over a Democrat?

Does anyone know what this supposedly "racially-tinged tweet" was?

“But if Christie fails to support his fellow Republican in the Senate race, he could take blowback from conservatives..”

According to his political mentor, Tom Kean Snr. He should just blow off the 40% of conservatives in Middle America in his Presidential run as they have nowhere else to go.

If he signs those three anti-gun bills on his desk, he will be signalling he has done just that - and go down to defeat like Romney and Juan McManiac.

Tubby is trying hard to stay on the center stripe until after November, when he’ll move over to the right hand lane in anticipation of the 2016 Presidential primaries.

Like an overweight Gumby, he’s ‘malleable’.

Why wait for Christie to leave? An RNC that was on our side would kick Christie out of the Republican Party.

The answer to this is to send a donation to Lonegan. The problem with too many of us is we expect those self serving middle of the roaders to be team players but they are not. The big question is how many top line conservatives are going to take a risk and help Lonegan with fundraising and raising his status in these next two months. We did it for Scott Brown in two weeks but I’ll be surprised if anyone does it for Lonegan and that shows exactly why we DONT deserve to win. If you won’t fight, donate, put a bumper sticker on a car or talk to your friends about these races then you have already surrendered but for the talking.

Here is a link to http://www.loneganforsenate.com/

If you are in Jersey or one of the surrounding states get the hell out there like you want to win for a change.

Did anyone think he would? I bet Christie won't even issue a pro forma endorsement nor vote for Lonegan.

Christie will not help Lonegan, nor will the RINO weak sister group!!! If Lonegan has any chance to win at all...he must do it all alone, by getting out in person to all his strong hold of conservative voters. This is an election that can be won by Lonegan, although it is a very difficult, long shot at best!!! The New Jersey voters are heavily Democrat and will vote for any Democrat even if he or she is a serial killer (LOL)!!! For goodness sake...get Lee, Cruz, Paul, Rubio, Palin, etc. to come to Jersey to campaign for you, tirelessly!!!

So....Lonegan has to hope for a low “Wednesday” October turnout of Democrat voters and ultra maximum turnout of conservative & Tea Party voters. Yes....they are there. But....Lonegan has to make his goal the shaking of every conservative hand and heart he reaches out to. He has got to campaign day & night across the state where his base resides and votes!!! He won his primary election in massive fashion, which means the base is motivated. Cory Booker is just another deadbeat Obama, wheeler/dealer failure. Newark stinks as a city, period. How any NJ voter would support Cory Booker is beyond objective, intelligent reason!!!

But....they will vote for Cory Booker even if he was a dead mummy walking!!! Lonegen....get with the program...and attack, attack, attack!!! You have a small chance to win...if only you fight like your life depended on it!!! A GOP win for you Mr. Lonegan, will change the course of the country and your beloved state, NJ...for the better, much better!!! Get on it...TODAY!!!

This is why I’m no longer a Republican. The GOP doesn’t have the discipline to be an effective opponent of the Democrat-Socialist Party, and has utter contempt for its conservative base.

Gov. Christie is owned, like a house boy slave, by the lawyers who ran Obama’s 2008 election capaign and transition campaign.

I don’t mean this in anything less than total and complete ownership of every single public appearance, pronouncement, and decision on signing or vetoeing every single piece of legislation put on his desk.

The men who own Obama, also own Christie, and they own a good dozen other state governors with (R) tags.

The illusion of democracy is so thin in these times it’s no longer worth the trouble to sit on FR and whing about Christie’s actions.

Christie is not a conservative, his donors are not conservative, his close friends and advisors are not conservative, his appointees are not conservative, his voter base is not conservative, his media ecosystem is not conservative, his future is not conservative.

Christie is a liberal opportunist, his donors are iberal opportunists, his close friends and advisors are liberal opportunists, his appointees are liberal opportunists, his voter base are liberal opportunists, his media ecosystem is controlled by liberal opportunists, his future is liberal opportunism.
