The elite is a mob. Booker is in the mob.

Why wait for Christie to leave? An RNC that was on our side would kick Christie out of the Republican Party.

"In politics, you back your party’s candidate, period."

Yep. And once again, it's the GOP-e playing by its own rules: Lugar refusing to do much to help Mourdock, McCain saying in so many words he plans to endorse Hillary Clinton unless Republicans embrace full-out interventionism as the only issue that matters in 2016, and on and on...

The answer to this is to send a donation to Lonegan. The problem with too many of us is we expect those self serving middle of the roaders to be team players but they are not. The big question is how many top line conservatives are going to take a risk and help Lonegan with fundraising and raising his status in these next two months. We did it for Scott Brown in two weeks but I’ll be surprised if anyone does it for Lonegan and that shows exactly why we DONT deserve to win. If you won’t fight, donate, put a bumper sticker on a car or talk to your friends about these races then you have already surrendered but for the talking.

Here is a link to http://www.loneganforsenate.com/

If you are in Jersey or one of the surrounding states get the hell out there like you want to win for a change.

If any election was ever designed to favor a truly conservative candidate like Lonegan in New Jersey, it's a special election on a Wednesday a few weeks before a general election.

You're exactly right here.
If Lonegan ever stood a chance of winning, it's now.
If he doesn't win, it will have nothing to do with Christie.

Did anyone think he would? I bet Christie won't even issue a pro forma endorsement nor vote for Lonegan.

Christie will not help Lonegan, nor will the RINO weak sister group!!! If Lonegan has any chance to win at all...he must do it all alone, by getting out in person to all his strong hold of conservative voters. This is an election that can be won by Lonegan, although it is a very difficult, long shot at best!!! The New Jersey voters are heavily Democrat and will vote for any Democrat even if he or she is a serial killer (LOL)!!! For goodness sake...get Lee, Cruz, Paul, Rubio, Palin, etc. to come to Jersey to campaign for you, tirelessly!!!

So....Lonegan has to hope for a low “Wednesday” October turnout of Democrat voters and ultra maximum turnout of conservative & Tea Party voters. Yes....they are there. But....Lonegan has to make his goal the shaking of every conservative hand and heart he reaches out to. He has got to campaign day & night across the state where his base resides and votes!!! He won his primary election in massive fashion, which means the base is motivated. Cory Booker is just another deadbeat Obama, wheeler/dealer failure. Newark stinks as a city, period. How any NJ voter would support Cory Booker is beyond objective, intelligent reason!!!

But....they will vote for Cory Booker even if he was a dead mummy walking!!! Lonegen....get with the program...and attack, attack, attack!!! You have a small chance to win...if only you fight like your life depended on it!!! A GOP win for you Mr. Lonegan, will change the course of the country and your beloved state, NJ...for the better, much better!!! Get on it...TODAY!!!

In other words, Christie will campaign for 0bama, but not a pro-life, free-market conservative in his own party.

In other words, Christie is just like any other member of the Republican Establishment.

The problem with too many of us is we expect those self serving middle of the roaders to be team players but they are not.

"I learned what party loyalty means. It means the conservatives have to support the liberals, but never the other way around." -- Senator Richard Schweiker, returning from the 1976 Republican National Convention (at which he had supported Ronald Reagan.)

There is nothing in the middle of the road but yellow lines and dead skunks.

This is why I’m no longer a Republican. The GOP doesn’t have the discipline to be an effective opponent of the Democrat-Socialist Party, and has utter contempt for its conservative base.

Actually there are many voters in NJ who hate Sarah, and so she would not be of much help to Lonegan.

Rand or Ron Paul on the other hand would be better received.
There are many Paul supporters there.
I don't know they feel about Lonegan though.

Gov. Christie is owned, like a house boy slave, by the lawyers who ran Obama’s 2008 election capaign and transition campaign.

I don’t mean this in anything less than total and complete ownership of every single public appearance, pronouncement, and decision on signing or vetoeing every single piece of legislation put on his desk.

The men who own Obama, also own Christie, and they own a good dozen other state governors with (R) tags.

The illusion of democracy is so thin in these times it’s no longer worth the trouble to sit on FR and whing about Christie’s actions.

Christie is not a conservative, his donors are not conservative, his close friends and advisors are not conservative, his appointees are not conservative, his voter base is not conservative, his media ecosystem is not conservative, his future is not conservative.

Christie is a liberal opportunist, his donors are iberal opportunists, his close friends and advisors are liberal opportunists, his appointees are liberal opportunists, his voter base are liberal opportunists, his media ecosystem is controlled by liberal opportunists, his future is liberal opportunism.

Disgusting, it’s his job as the leader of the state GOP to back our candidates. He’d rather score points with the media by keeping his distance from any conservative.

That said I’m not a big fan of Lonegan and he’s a weak candidate that likely can’t win. The only other Republican that ran was some lady doctor driven to politics by opposition to Osamacare. I have no idea why NJ Republicans seem to not care about this race. Waiting for the full term next year? The establishment didn’t even put up a candidate of their own.

Maybe they want Lonegan to lose big so they can say “See! We better nominate a hand picked RINO next time”. That’s a page from the Illinois playbook. Is there a NJ combine too? Seems like it.

Booker is a dangerous figure.

Lonegan’s biggest problem is Lonegan and his brother Lonegan.

They are both total fucking assholes to deal with, on personal, professional, political, and fundraising levels.

Steve Longean is a horrible miserable human being who is a bully and defaults to dehumanizing people whenever he is not getting his way, there is no other way to describe just how absolutely horrendous his interactions have been with most of the North Jersey Republican activists.

Outside of a few anti-abortion activists I’ve talked to, people in NJ’s local and county GOP orgs I know have an almost universal deep dislike for the man on a personal level.

How refreshing!
And no, I'm not being sarcastic.

I don't know Lonegan personally. I don't like him.
I hope he'll be a decent senator if he's fortunate enough to win.
If not he'll be gone in short order.

I'm sick to death of not being represented by any senator from my state.

They shit all over people like me while we pay their bills.

Unlike Romney, Christie is at least governing somewhat conservative in Jersey. He is pro-life and managed to cut some funding from Planned Parenthood. I could tolerate him as a president. The big test of where Christie is going politically, is what he will do with an anti-homosexual counseling bill, the Dems passed in the legislature. The bill bans parents from subjecting their gay kids to therapy that cures homosexuality. Christie says he opposes therapy that cures homosexuality, but supports parents rights. He has made a decision whether to sign the bill or veto it.
