U2 frontman Bono proves that in the end, intelligence and common sense wins out.
In a speech at Georgetown Universitys Global Social Enterprise Event, Bono admitted that even he himself finds it hard to accept that he has become a rock star who preaches capitalism, according to The Inquisitr.
Wow; sometimes I hear myself and I just cant believe it, he said.

Better late than never...
Bono has a good heart - nice to see it’s a heart that’s starting to see clearly. Maybe soon Bono will discover much African aid not only cripples the poor, but lines the pockets of Africa’s corrupt powerful ones... and their UN enablers.
I don’t think too many rock stars want to give up their fleets of luxury cars, huge mansions, yachts, jewelry, drugs. But it just doesn’t pay to sound like a Wall Street banker when singing songs. Sounds better to the average envious shlub to attack businessmen and capitalism all the time living large off the free-enterprise system. Many rock stars like to pretent they’re one with the masses. The truth is 99% of them probably can’t stand their fans. Or at least wouldn’t let them within 100 yards of their dwellings.

And that colonialism was the best thing that ever happened to Africa -- until the communist bastards in Moscow started fomenting 'revolutions' back in the 1950s.
Maybe Bono will re-think some of his views on Latin America as well (see the 'Bullet the Blue Sky' lyrics, where he took a shot at our support of the anti-communist government in El Salvador in the 1980s).
Welcome to the real world, whatever your name is.
” What does being a rock star have to do with it? Did he give away every penny he made and set up a commune with it, while living in poverty himself? “
According to Forbes, Bono is one of the top tax dodgers ever.
An Irishman pulling the ‘double Irish’ ?
Wow next thing you know Bono will be appearing at the RNC,
He was already a born-again Christian (so the most important thing was taken care of); I guess God just took a while in changing his mind on economic issues :)!
Well, DUH....
Kinda what Sir Bob Geldoff found out...
The hard way....
Yeah : )
Now he needs to THINK it all the way through and all of its ramifications.
