No doubt.
But I think there are enough of us “pulling the wagon” that if sufficiently motivated could change the hearts and minds of the political class.
Do you realize how few there are of us? I mean, well-informed, motivated citizens?
The vast majority of taxpayers are focused on what high school players will sign with LSU or Ohio State. Or who the couples on Dancing With the Stars are. Or making it to work on time tomorrow and keeping a job.
If we could ever get that group motivated, then things would change.
We don’t organize. Sure there are groups here and there but they do what? Hold a rally once in a while, host a blog, publish their rankings of members of Congress?
All pitifully meaningless. No wonder the leftists laugh at us.
We need to start organizing for real. We need a Freedom Clubs of America with 400 chapters. We need 10 million members giving dues to their local, state and national org.
We need it to branch off with all kinds of associated organizations. We need to support our own businesses, we need our own media etc etc
Why are their channels like Current, Pivot, Bridges-TV, CCTV4 from China, RFD and other things nobody watches when a conservative channel (lets say News Talk Network) would probably draw a bigger audience than a limp wristed FNC?
The GOP or a third party would love the support of an organization that could raise $100 million in a primary.
Forget these piddling one-issue organizations, forget the social vs fiscal crap. Forget dividing conservatives into fiefdoms.
We are both social and fiscally conservative and we believe America can do better than this cultural rot. We won’t need to play word games if conservatives would stop letting the left, the libertarians, the social liberals taunt us and drive wedges and divide us up into different groups.
They don’t have to join and we don’t have to pander to every group and organization that claims to be on our side even while tearing apart the base.
