Nanny State PING!
Bloomberg makes the average pile of dog obama on a sidewalk look downright smart.
I don’t know why any sane person would live in New York or any other northern Hell hole.
Wasn’t it William Buckley who said liberals live in fear that someone, somewhere, might be enjoying themselves?
People who buy electronic cigarettes do not buy real cigarettes in the same amount.
“It’s the taxes, stupid.” :)
What does The Great Dictator want to ban now?
Bloomberg is a nanny. But while I think they are a safer alternative for people who are addicted to nicotine, they are also unquestionably a drug deliver device, and as such it is inevitable that the FDA will step in and impose regulations, sooner or later.
and I always thought that mr Bloomberg only wanted a return to the America of the once great Christian middle class.
So, quite frankly, it's the e-smoker's problem and they're not bothering non-smokers, so why hound them?
He would also have to ban all other sources of water vapor. Banning steam in NYC seems farfetched but nothing is beyond Bloomie’s desire for complete control.
If so, he wants to ban it.
What’s next Nicotine gum?
This just in.....Bloomberg is outlawing fog in NYC, Mother Nature is not happy.
E-cigs have no tobacco in them. They may or may not have nicotine, depending on what one chooses. I have been off tobacco for two years because of this device. Heck, I even vaped on the plane back from Nashville last week. It hurts no one.
Already banned in Suffolk County (Long Island). “Why?” you may ask?
Because, according to our “leaders,” non-smokers may become “confused and frightened” if they see people using them.
I kid you not.

"This legislature also finds that when consumed in public places where traditional tobacco products are banned, the use of e-cigarettes causes fear, stress, and confusion among patrons and workers alike. E-cigarettes also seriously compromise the County's current public health laws governing indoor smoking bans and create an enforcement nightmare for the Department of Health Services' Tobacco Enforcement Unit."
