Syria, in 2013. Compilation videos on the subject of tanks. The tanks in the fighting in the city. Tank battles in Syria in the first person.

That was something- seeing both sides of that same engagement.
Lots of armor driving around in an urban environment without any infantry support in evidence, although they appeared to have it at times.
In general ‘BOOM’....wait for huge dust cloud to dissipate...’BOOM’....wait for huge dust cloud to dissipate... etc.
Good find, thanks for posting it.
Interesting video. These are the government’s tanks & army v. the rebels. The tanks must have thermal sights as the dust obscures most targets. The tanks have some infantry support, but go first to blast out the opposition. The rebels must not have much anti-armor like RPGs or IEDs.
Whoever wins this civil war won’t have much of a country left, look at all the damage.
Yes, from this video it looks like they are able to detect a rebel movement inside these buildings but it seems like they have some kind of ROE and it makes hard time to sort out between civilians and rebels.
I also learned from this video that an ERA-type reactive plating on the tanks are pretty effective against AT-munitions. You can see these tanks survived numerous hits and still functional. The one destroyed in the middle of this video is probably a single we saw stripped of ERA option.
Great footage. Bad tank country. Kind of sterile. I guarantee there was a lot of hollering and screaming going on inside those vehicles. The camera is in the open on the top. You normally don’t get that good of a view from the sights and vision blocks.
