Delaware officials stonewalling IRS snooping probe, Grassley says

Charging that Delaware officials have stopped cooperating with his investigation, Sen. Chuck Grassley on Friday sent a pointed letter to the state's Division of Revenue in which he outlines specific, outstanding questions that still swirl around the handling of former U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell’s tax records.

“On multiple occasions, my staff has requested a copy of your records retention policy, the opportunity to speak with [officials at the state's Division of Revenue] and other clarifications related to these matters. To date, you have failed to respond,” the letter from the Iowa Republican reads in part.

In a case first reported by The Washington Times, Ms. O'Donnell — a tea party favorite who in 2010 ran unsuccessfully for Vice President Joseph Biden’s old U.S. Senate seat — revealed last month that her personal tax information had been accessed by David Smith, an investigator with Delaware's Division of Revenue.

Grassley: STOP sending useless letters (only send 2 and then) sent subpoenas to everyone you can identify in Delaware who is involved in this potentially illegal action.

Stop being Mr. Nice Guy and start kicking balls so hard that they feel it in California.

Issue subpoenas like rain until they start complying or get your committee to hold them in Contempt of Congress. Then send out your Committee investigators to meet with everyone one you have identified as a person or office of interest.

If they fail to meet with these investigations, issue more Contempt citations and send copies to Biden, the state’s Senators, and the State’s Attorney General.

Put unrelenting pressure on these state public officials until you get cooperation. Name names, in bold print.

If you can get Contempt of Congress citations, and as the law permits, send out US Marshalls to haul these aholes before your committee. Even if they take the 5th, their public career will be soon ended, esp. if you move to cut funding for their specific jobs (if they are federal) or call for the State of Delaware to do the same, due to professional malfeasance and obstruction of a congressional investigation.

Make their non-cooperation a criminal affair. Eventhough Holder and his wackos won’t enforce the law, and the State’s Attorney General may defy you, you will have given the American public another look into Obama’s authoritarian/marxist regime, and with the elections coming up next year, this will be a powerful weapon for conservatives to wield and/or publicize at both the local and national levels.

The enemy hates bad publicity. Time to give them all we can.

Our slogan should be: “Requests;Subpoenas;Contempt Citations;JAIL”

Time to shit or get off the pot!

“...and the State’s Attorney General.”

That would be Biden’s son Beau. Another royal American family.

Crooked family is more like it. And you can bet Bubba Biden’s in it up to his neck. Mike Castle and the rest of the RINOs in Greenville are probably also in it.

And to the NSA trolls, FU.

It could be even more pointed. Put the word out that those who fully testify will likely not face criminal charges, but this is a limited time offer. Let them know that they better have a paper trail, and that paper better get into the hands of the committee sooner rather than later.

Suggest that some are already doing this, and the clock is ticking.

If they're still visiting their favorite golf clubs and upscale restaurants every week, they don't really care what letters the Senator's secretary types up.

Sit some of these pompous state civil servant poohbahs in jail for a few months, then ask them again for what you need.
