NEWARK A racially charged tweet issued by Steve Lonegan's U.S. Senate campaign has drawn fire from Newark Mayor Cory Booker's campaign as well as city leaders who say the Republican candidate is out of step with the values of New Jersey voters. As Booker and the three other Democratic Senate candidates participated in a television Thursday night, Lonegan's camp issued, and quickly deleted, a tweet reading, "just leaked - Cory Booker's foreign policy debate prep notes."
Below it was a map of Newark, with the words "West Africa, Guyana, Portugal, Brazil" and "Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, plus Bangladesh and Trinidad" scrawled across the map, apparently depicting Newark's different neighborhoods. The city, New Jersey's largest, is 52 percent African-American and only 26 percent white, according to 2010 census numbers.

Since black politicians are exempt from criticism the temptation will be strong for Booker to take on Hillary in 2016.
We can only hope Booker runs in 2016. He’d make the primary a bloodbath for the rats.
How is he going to do that without a beard?
Obama had a well established marriage.
Since Lonegan is legally blind, he can’t be accused of seeing the tweet.
Booker is a racist parasitic Commie bureaucrat who has never worked an honest day in his life.
GO LONEGAN!
Maybe Booker’s foreign policy knowledge is only from dealing with migrant communities. The comment wasnt even anti immigrant or anti third world.
I never gave Booker much notice. No marriageat 44? Who is he dating? Cannot find info. Guess he will marry soon as you suggest? ..
Lonegan will not just go away. I’d like to learn who has been funding his obnoxious ads that have run on 77 WABC for what seems like decades. His sense of self importance makes Chris Christie look like Francis Bernadone by comparison. I don’t think however that he’s racist. His map is akin to what a local GOP pol in Queens did when he rabn against Geraldine Ferraro in 78. Al Dellibovi put out ads about inflation that talked of the price of mozzarella going up in Italian Middle Village, the price of lamb in Greek Astoria and the price of beer in Irish Woodside.
I met Booker several times and he is a great guy. Very, very impressive. While I obviously disagree with him politically, he is not an empty suit like BHO. Smart, funny as hell, physically impressive, and genuine. For the life of me, I can’t understand the cult of personality towards Obama, but I could see Booker developing a real cult following that would last. He will be President. Picture a friend of yours that you get along great with but he happens to be a lib. That’s Booker
Any chance he beats out DeVal (Jr Baraq) Patrick for Hillary's VP slot?
I have been involved with NJ politics for a long time, and I can tell you one thing for sure: Rick Shaftan is an absolute imbecile. Why anyone would employ him is beyond me.
I give him much better odds than Hillary, who will likely develop major health problems by 2015 and will not win the nomination, let alone the White House.
No thanks, I’d rather picture the Upton Babe
