GOP Ready to Cave on Amnesty
Canada Free Press ^ | August 9, 2013 | Arnold Ahlert

The Republican Party is seemingly on the verge of embracing so-called comprehensive immigration reform. Using a tactic best described as “calculated incrementalism,” House Republicans plan to pass a series of individual bills addressing various aspects of immigration reform, which will then be combined in conference with the Senate bill.

Former House Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) cut right to the heart of the subterfuge, saying that the Republicans’ promise “to act tough on border security while looking to secure amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants has become infuriatingly all-too-familiar.”

Indications that House Republicans plan to acquiesce to amnesty were revealed by House Majority leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) last Sunday. Cantor .... expressed support for the House version of the DREAM Act, because children should not he held “liable for illegal acts of their parents.”

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) appears equally on board. In an interview ...made the economic case for immigration reform, arguing that even low-skill immigrants “bring labor to our economy so jobs can get done.” He insisted that Wisconsin dairy farmers are having a hard time finding workers, and that if they can’t—or if they raise wages as an alternative to attract those workers—both scenarios will lead to the importation of those products.

Why is Schumer optimistic? Hayworth explains that Republicans are embracing a classic “bait and switch” technique that is likely to succeed this time because, as opposed to the 2006-2007 effort, “the GOP leadership has become smarter, and more devious with their messaging.” He contends that a tough law enforcement bill sponsored by Rep. Mike McCaul, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, will receive a vote of approval, but will be subsequently abandoned during the House-Senate reconciliation process. McCaul has reportedly been apprised of this reality—behind closed doors—by House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).

The KIDS bill will be the Trojan Horse:

Instead, a bill sponsored by Cantor and Goodlatte, tentatively named the KIDS Act, legalizing illegal aliens who came to the country as children, will also be approved, and then become the actual bill that is sent to conference. Once it gets to conference, House Republicans will no longer be able to stop it: only a simple majority of conferees from each chamber will be needed to get the reconciled “Conference Report” floor votes in both the House and the Senate. This will allow House GOP members to claim they are tough on enforcement, even as Boehner will appoint conferees who can be counted on to embrace the Senate’s position on amnesty.

This is the guy that Arizonans thought was too liberal to replace John McCain.

A number of FReepers expressed the same opinion in 2010, when John McCain received the nomination to serve for another six years as Senator from Arizona.

Whew, close call. They could have been stuck with a Conservative.

Amnesty is a done deal....the Big Money interests need the cheap labor, and it will still be whipped cream on shit.

Stop all Welfare, raise wages as taxes are cut, and add Tariffs to stop the flow of Foreign crap.

All THREE at the same time; and, deport ALL Illegals. Each American can pay $500 (including those on Welfare), and we ship them back where they came from...;.put the U.S. Military on the border to Mexico, and we stop the drug traffic AND the baby-droppers and wetback farm labor. Mine the Southern Borders.

Of course, with the CIA heavily-invested in arms and drug trade, this will NEVER happen.

NAFTA and EU Trade Zone both have open boarders, free movements of both people & taxable assets coupled with Common Currency.

The Democrat Party could not vote to implement NAFTA due to the Unions being a huge part of their constituency and the Republic Party always fought to implement NAFTA in the late 90's but it completely disappeared from the American political debate during the second Bush presidential term. The Democrat's being good globalists have found their prize in new voters/citizens (replace the abortion demographics opposed to the traditional family now producing more babies in the conservative camp); the Republicans have always been for big business and strong defense. Implementing NAFTA will allow US Forces to stamp out the Cartels in Mexico, and allow Canada-US-Mexico to create super-agencies to tighten controls.

Eventually, the North American Free Trade ZONE will extend the reach of currency (America's Dollar) Southward to Argentina.

There will be a total of 5-7 trade zones globally within 25-years, all with open boarders and a single currency.

Implementations for global security and commence, and control are already well discussed in the run up to both the EU and NAFTA talks!

children should not he held “liable for illegal acts of their parents.”

So instead, legal American citizen taxpayers will be held liable for the illegal acts of millions because YOU failed to enforce existing laws. This has cost America dearly... and now they want to make it a permanent arrangement. Makes me sick.

They pretend to resist it for 6 months (pissing off liberal voters) then cave and embrace it (pissing off everyone else).

100% piss off rate. Good job Karl. Take a bonus.

Deathknell 2014

Dems will control The Presidency, Senate and possibly the House.

They couldn’t beat the weakest most Socialist American President at a time when the economy was one of the worst of all time.

Now, setup for a strong midterm cycle, the GOP will commit suicide.

Conservatism is dead when this happens.

Glad I’m old. Feel so sorry for those under 50. Your path from here does not look inviting at all.

The 20 and 30 somethings are in even bigger trouble.

Cantor & Ryan are dead o me if they cave.\

I am from Wisconsin & had high hopes for Ryan, but not now.

Yes, we can hold children responsible for the actions of their parents.

The idea that every illegal born in this county automatically is a citizen is NOT what the 14th amendment was about!!!

These actions will make this economy even worse, and the REVOLUTION will be even closer!!

Shame of both of them and all the other GOP who wish to tag along.

Romney’s victory as GOP presidential candidate appears to have been entirely so his team could impose new rules on the GOP primary process, placing it almost entirely in the hands of the elite.

That makes a movement WITHIN the GOP much harder, if not impossible, to accomplish.

JUst do like I have done. Say no to the GOP. I am voting conservative even if it means I vote for 3rd party candidates. I could care less about a party. They GOP and the DNC vote alike. They are one and the same.

I “sort of” got to know J.D. when I was in WDC lobbying the Congress for the National Retail Sales Tax (FairTax), and I can tell you that he was the Real Deal Conservative!

EVERY Arizona resident who voted to re-elect McShame disrespected their state and their nation by their vote.

SHAME ON YOU!

Your sentiment, going Conservative even for losing candidates, if it gets to be mainstream and pervasive, would of necessity lead to war or permanent tyranny. It is indicative that the ballot box no longer has any use, and other means, if any, are the only option.

“children should not he held “liable for illegal acts of their parents.””

What nonsense. If you benefit from a crime, such as receiving stolen goods, even if you didn’t know it was stolen, the stolen goods still get confiscated. These kids are sharing in stolen residency or citizenship.

As a naturalized citizen, who walked a 25 year road to get here, this is a massive insult to me. Way to make it cheap and easy if you are a criminal.

Kick them all out. Send Mexico the bill for repatriating them.
