I take the bus sometimes, but not if I intend to get anywhere on time here in Texas. Usually have to wait 20-30 minutes between stops. It’s one of those things you might do if you only have the leisure for it, or, more likely, the necessity for it. I suppose you might get better use out of it in tight places like New York. But, God help you if you live in New York.

Buses work great when you move as often as I have and the area is unfamiliar......take a day and map...catch a bus and you see where things are without the sweat of driving unfamiliar roads.

Other than that...don’t use them.

I have always told people that you will get a lesson in civics when riding the bus and a study in society.

Try taking a bus or train which passes through a black neighborhood and see how the black passengers act in transit vs Asian, hispanic and white passengers.
