Beg to differ; PA is a good gun-friendly state.

Open carry, CCW, few restrictions. An army of hunters and gunnies.

We’re a thumb in the eye of the anti’s in the Northeast.

Are there some better? Sure. But at least there’s somewhere for Jersey, Maryland, and NY folks to run to.

Welcome to Free Republic, by the way.

“...I don’t own any Kahr guns now, but that may have to change......”

I’d say it just became A Moral Imperative!!

“Support any friend...oppose any foe...bear any burden...”

Yup, I goofed in my characterization of PA. That'll teach me to take anything from the Brady Campaign at face value...

Welcome to Free Republic, by the way.

Thanks!

In any event, I hope you now agree that Pennsylvania is a solid pro-second amendment state. If you look at the legislature there has, for a long time, been a solid GOP state senate firewall against the rats’ communism and liberal goofiness. Even most of the rural rats won’t touch “gun control” in a million years.

Consider me duly chastised. :-)

Brady Campaign is one of the worst anti-2nd Amendment Rights organizations out there.

They’re on the wrong side of freedom, friend.

“...Believe me, you never hear about “gun control” in Pennsylvania, ...”

And except when our “pro-gun Senator” Toomey decided to reach across the aisle to his “pro-gun” Democom colleague Joe Manchin a few months ago....

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you... I still can’t figure out if it was momentary spurt of stupidity on his part, or if he truly tried to bone us by jumping on the Sandy Hook Blood Wagon.

Either way, it made the hair stand up and the duct tape come out for a quick wrap around me head to stop the explosion...

I view EVERY politician through the lens of how they deal with my gun rights. If they are against my being able to carry, they’ll typically be against my other Constitutional rights as well and need to be thrown out the door into the trash heap pronto.

You nailed it. If a politician is willing to trample on your 2A rights, he will be more than eager to trample on other rights as well.

Never trust any politician who will not trust you with a gun. Period.

It really is the perfect litmus test.

“If you don’t trust ME as a Citizen, why in the hell would I trust YOU to make laws and give you any authority?”

They get to DC and they think they’re our Masters after a while. They are Public Servants. We are their employers, and they are nothing more than Temporary Hired Help. They forget that. We need to remind them at every opportunity - and sometimes, it’s by throwing them unceremoniously out of office on their asses when they get uppity.

People have been brainwashed into forgetting the true intent of the 2nd Amendment. As you well know, it’s to be able to ENFORCE that changeover of the hired help should it become necessary.

Oh, I was done with Toomey within about a month of voting for him. Turns out he was all for the sodomization of the US military. I will not be voting for Toomey again.

I did not know that RE Toomey.

They bone us at every opportunity... getting sick of it.

Red in Blue PA said: "ANYONE visiting PA can OC anywhere ..."

Is this common? Will every outing be accompanied by one or several interviews with the police? I presume Philadelphia is a grand exception?

Sorry.....should have said Philly is the exception. You do need a LTCF there. In the law. Philly is termed a city of the first class.

Obviously that was long ago.

Maybe they had limited funds for transporting all their stuff, but had to get away from NY immediately.

Considering Vermont’s laws pertaining to firearms, despite how many liberals live there, I thought they would be the best state to move to in the north east.

first law in the nation prompted by the killing of 20 first-graders and six educators in Newtown, Conn.

Bullshit !! They pulled this out of drawer and rammed it down our throats first chance they had. That faggot Cuomo knew he had a limited window to get it done, and played his hand. The up side is that Andrew the Failure's political career outside of New York is over. He will never be President.

No State Preemption (partial, 1 pt).

What do they mean by "partial"? As I understand it, PA does have preemption. Municipalities can't pass firearm laws.

Oh, I know...my mistake was in assuming that they the grades they gave to each state would accurately describe the level of gun control in them; while it's true that they generally do so with some accuracy, they give such weight to background checks that it makes Pennsylvania look as if it has far more restrictive laws (coming in 10th place nationwide) than it actually does. The rest of their "top ten" states (CA, NJ, MA, NY, HI, MD, RI, IL) certainly seem reflect a draconian levels of local gun control.

Well, here's how they score it:

Local units of government are allowed to regulate firearms in order to ensure public safety for their citizens: 2 points

OR some local control of regulations: 1 point

Make of it what you will...

Well, welcome to the team, brother.

I use their numbers to gauge what I have to personally do to make them unhappy.

That’s why I became a firearms instructor {grin}...

It’s GOOD to despised by the despicable...
