Of course GZ had no duty to cower in his car from a thug. He had no duty to die lest TM be offended.

The thug had a duty to not assault people.

The thug failed his duty. GZ had not failed on his. One wonders, now that GZ has been mugged, is he still a Democrat?

And just how did Zimmerman “initiate” the violent confrontation? This douche bag Progressive lawyer wannabee interjected “facts” into the discussion that were not true. As a typical Progressive toady he repeated the lie that has been told before and disproved but figures that if it is told often enough it will miraculously transform from biased conjecture to fact.

One juror has already come forward to admit that she felt Zimmerman was guilty of killing Martin

Is Liz an idiot?

Everyone agrees that Zimmerman killed Martin. The disagreement comes on the circumstances of his killing of St. Skittles.

The "volunteered with the Mississippi Center for Justice" was the tell.

Actually, the assclowniness of the entire premise of this article was a bigger tell.

By testifying that Zimmerman "initiated" the confrontation, this dimwit suggests that members of neighborhood watch should not be able to do what their name suggests - watch for possible criminal activity. Martin clearly displayed suspicious activity. Dimbulb Liz thinks that's perfectly fine and Zimmerman had no right to follow Martin even though this was Zimmerman's neighborhood!

Martin initiated the actual physical confrontation and assaulted Zimmerman. This first year law student refuses to admit this truth.

I doubt she would have written this laughable article had George Zimmerman been beaten to death by Trayvon Martin.

Sure let’s repeal self defense, as the article suggests. I guess that would equal a big “kill me” sign on all of our backsides.

BLACKS use the defense laws more than anyone because they are charged with more crimes (including killings). Had Trayvon killed Zimmerman, I guarantee he would have pled self defense. I have never seen any evidence that blacks get killed in society because the killer pleads self defense and “gets away with it”. I don’t recall this ever being a racial issue prior to the Zimmerman trial.

As for the reference to infamous “All White Juries”, whites have a right and obligation to serve on juries just like everyone else.

If this is the way a majority of the lawyers and "jurists" looked at the Zimmerman case, then God help this country. How does this ambulance-chaser concur that Zimmerman was responsible for Martin's death, when Martin had just as many chances to avoid a confrontation. In fact, against all the available evidence, this dunce blames Zimmerman for what happened ignoring the evidence that it was far more likely Martin decided to confront Zimmerman rather than vice versa.

Martin still could have avoided his demise by simply inquiring of Zimmerman why he was tailing him. Instead he chose to assault Zimmerman and inflict grievous harm on Zimmerman before Zimmerman was forced to draw his gun and shoot his assailant. Does this clown really believe citizen volunteers should be unarmed when Zimmerman might have lost his life or suffered severe and permanent brain injuries if he were not armed? Obviously, these liberal lawyers are engaging in their own jury nullification by blaming Zimmerman instead of finding the would be thug Martin guilty of causing his own demise.

Playing “knock out” with an armed person is crazy. Using adolescent photo’s of the victim when he is not, is criminal. Yes Zimmerman did “kill” Travon, but he didn’t “Murder” him. Use the word murder when someone deliberately kills someone with premeditation. In war do we say we murdered the enemy? All this crap about Zimmerman and nothing about Antonio West? That was “MURDER”!!!!!

One juror has already come forward to admit that she felt Zimmerman was guilty of killing Martin but that the jury could not find him guilty under the law.

We all agree he killed Traydown, that is not the issue, putz.

He admitted he shot Martin and the facts show that he ignored multiple opportunities to avoid the confrontation that ultimately led to Martin's death.

I see this nitwit hasn't gone beyond the Nightly News in her pursuit for the facts of the case.

Had it not been for the peculiar nature of Florida's self-defense laws, he may have been convicted.

Really. Having your head banged repeatedly on the cement with a person atop you preventing you from getting up, and then that person going for your gun with the words "You're going to die tonight" is a bona-fide self-defense situation in any state.

“Of course, Zimmerman wasn't altogether innocent. He admitted he shot Martin and the facts show that he ignored multiple opportunities to avoid the confrontation that ultimately led to Martin's death.”

This is absurd. To avoid any confrontation with a bad guy, one would have to lock himself in a room and stay there. Once someone is out of a locked room, one would have to foretell the possible future in order to absolutely not have a confrontation with a bad guy. It would go something like this:

There is a man somewhere in my vicinity - if I get closer to him, should I yell, “Don't beat me so I won't have to shoot you.” Or, yell over and over, maybe every 20 steps, “I have a gun! Don't try to beat me!”

One cannot run one’s life always asking self, “If I take a walk or go to the store, what might happen?” Total BS.

Similar to Lon Fuller's Rex in The Morality of Law, juries permitted to nullify can change laws to fit circumstances and characteristics of individual defendants until the results become completely unpredictable and impossible to follow, increasing the instability and lack of faith in the criminal justice system

Exactly like judges. So what's her problem?

It's said that jury nullification occurred frequently in the South during segregation.I'm in no position to challenge such a claim...I wasn't there. To the degree that it might have happened it surely shouldn't have.More recently...OJ was clearly jury nullification,GZ wasn't.

If the head was split, you must acquit. And they did.
