US opposition to an Israeli strike on Irans nuclear program may be softening, a former head of IDF intelligence said Wednesday.
The American stance on an Israeli strike against Iran has changed dramatically recently, said Amos Yadlin, who served as chief of the IDFs Intelligence Directorate from 2006 to 2010.
In 2012 the [Americans'] red light was as red as it can get, the brightest red, Yadlin said in an interview with Army Radio Wednesday morning. But the music Im hearing lately from Washington says, If this is truly an overriding Israeli security interest, and you think you want to strike, then the light hasnt changed to green, I think, but its definitely yellow.
Yadlin is thought to be close to parts of the US defense establishment. He served as Israels military attache in Washington from 2004 to 2006, and was a Kay Fellow in Israeli national security at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in 2011.
In April, Yadlin told a conference at the Institute for National Security Studies, which he heads, that Israel would have to make a decision on striking Iran by the summer of this year.

Coming around just long enough to get the when and where, so Obama can screw them and give it to his fellow muslims...
So whatever happened to the USAF?
Amos, forget it. It ain’t gonna happen.
Didn’t I just see a thread this AM stating we would never attack Iran?
Since ending Iran’s nuclear program has fallen off the Sunday morning flap jaws reports..it means only one thing. The Regime doesn’t care if Iran gets a bomb and they intend no assistance to Israel..and would likely issue warnings before and attack just to make sure that Iran knows we are the ones doing it.
We? Like in "the US"? I don't think anybody expects the US to do anything... just stop putting pressure on Israel not to do the job.
Sequestered and defunded.
I was disappointed that Israel didn’t take that program out in Bush’s first term, despite the other distractions, and again that Israel left them alone in Bush’s second term. It was no surprise that Israel didn’t get any support for preventing terrorists from getting nuclear weapons in Obama’s first term, and I will be amazed if they get support this term, but disappointed if Israel doesn’t do it with or without our support. It’s time - before we lost NYC, Chicago, LA, or some other liberal cesspool.
“In the headlines at this hour;
Israel bombs Teheran, and the Keystone Pipeline is approved, as President Obama leaves for his three-week Labor Day vacation.”
What happened to a American man with American Christian values in the White House?
I could see it now. Israel flying it’s entire striike force to Iraq bearing US markings and once there refueling and washing off the paint.
That is what I was thinking too. I can't see Odumbo allowing his Muslim pals to be attacked.
2016? (but we need to get together on an American candidate with American Christian values... before hand...)
Yes, but USAF has the firepower AND the logistical advantage all in place (surrounding the problem on all sides)...
USAF is a great organization, just needs to be given the opportunity (have its shackles removed for a few days)
Wonder if you can attach a couple of kilotons to drones? Send a couple of hundred drones over to Iran.
Now that would be interesting. Hit some random site then let the Iranians know there is 199 more flying over the country ready to launch. Oh, and maybe add a few decoys to make it fun.
Thanks Former Fetus.
