I would bet that BeaverCreek voted for Obama in 2012
Hmm maybe that's true? Maybe there is a very good reason to not want blacks there.
“I guess Im a racist.”
No, you are a realist! Hope your city council is wise enough to forego the Federal dollars. You can live with out them, but you will not survive with them. It’s time for Beavercreek to draw the line.
“That was the beginning of the downfall of Century Plaza east of Birmingham. Opened in 1975 and closed in 2009.”
Got it! Malls like this are simply “Little Detroit’s.” These bankruptcies are smaller than a city’s but they are caused by essentially the same mechanisms.
Didn't know about that site. It is interesting and I saw some closures I hadn't heard about.
>> The area boasts a major shopping mall
They don’t want busloads of NO_LIMIT_FERALS from Dayton ruining the mall.
Can’t say I blame them.
YOU are a racist for even asking those questions!
Racist!
Homophobe!
Bigot!

Thaaaaat’s right.
Normal people are supposed to feel guilt over things that dead people did, and welcome all into their neighborhoods even if they rape the women, beat the old ladies, shoot the boys and steal the merchandise.
Don’t blame these folks from doing everything to keep gang bangers out of their town
West Oaks Mall in Orlando area was once a nice new mall....now declining as it is overrun by Black and Hispanic gangs. Parent company went into bankruptcy
The Georgetown section of Washington, DC is overwhelmingly populated by white Liberals — some of whom hold elected office. When the DC Metro (subway system) was being built the Georgetown white Liberals protested a subway stop in Georgetown. This was obviously meant to keep criminals from Southeast and Northeast DC (DC’s black sections) from easily traveling to Georgetown. Even today, Georgetown’s white Liberals fight any talk of a subway stop in their neighborhood.
As always, white Liberals are hypocrites. They will chastise the town mentioned in this article while saying nothing about their Liberal brethren pulling the exact same move in the nation’s Capitol.
How about Owings Mills? I remember when it opened -- it was THE high-end mall. Then, guess what... Light Rail built a station, direct from downtown Bawlmer. I knew people who worked at OM and said "overnight" it became the shoplifting mecca of the state. Lots of parking lot crime. The nice anchor department stores said Sayonara and now the place is a joke.
And those behaviors create suspicion of any group of black young people, even the kids from church groups, etc.
Dayton is horrible. If ohio was ever given an enema, Dayton is where they would stick the tube.

60/40 Repub over Dem.
Just ask the Buckhead area of Atlanta Georgia how bringing a MARTA line into the area did for things. Lenox Mall was once a high end mall and now belongs to the gang bangers from inner city Atlanta.
Thanks much!! They should risk losing the Federal funds. I despise this Federalization-Obamization of nearly everything local via the carrot and stick method of withholding Federal funds. These federal funds are nothing more than a small something coming back to a county for all the Federal taxes they send to the parasites in Washington DC
