Gulag food.
next will be pumpkin soup or fish head soup...if you are lucky you get the fishhead.
those are both delicacies in Asia
especially Cow Bone Soup, they like to suck out the marrow
This may not amount to a hill of beans, but this is our hill — and these are our beans.
That thing on the bottom right looks like a clogged toilet.
That must be some kind of seafood soup, Udon, that is all I can figure. I don’t really like seafood.
I like seafood. I just don’t like turd floating in water soup.
lol
donkkaseu is a Japanese dish, very popular apparently. The huge portion in the middle in back behind the rice and bean sprout soup.

And no, you can google real Korean school food and it does not look like the restaurants.
Reminds me of why I always brought my lunch to school. In the pubic schools I went to, it would’ve been a better than 50% chance it was a dookie in the soup.
“Item on the left is a new lunch item call Tex-Mex Corn Bread and Black Bean Mountain.”
It looks like the Tex/Mex pit-bull took a dump on top of it.
That stuff actually looks quite good, but I’d be surprised if the kids ever get served something that looks that nice. Institutional cooking is not noted for its attention to detail or presentation. Plus, these are things I, as a 45 year-old who tries to take care of what I eat, might consider appetizing. I suspect a lot of kids would look at it and say “yuck!”
Thanks for the ping!
Let’s put the NUT in nutrition.
try feeding them tofu
hahaha
Well, it doesn’t sound bad to me, but I am an adult and enjoy a healthy meal. However, I know my kid self would have turned up my nose at it. That said, my kids self needed to eat much healthier than she did. The one thing I’ll point out is that in other countries, kids do eat healthier lunches. Just go to Google images and type in “school lunch” and add whichever country you want. For example, if you at look at Japan or Korea, it’s basically rice, vegetables, soup, and maybe some type of meat. The one thing that concerns me from this menu, though, is the sushi because you can get sick from raw fish. I know that most people eat sushi safely, but there is always a chance.
