Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan ‘left free’ to kill
Sunday Telegraph (UK) ^ | 8:00AM BST 04 Aug 2013 | Jon Swaine

Wielding a high-powered pistol and crying “Allahu akbar!”, (Major Nidal Hasan) shot dead 13 people and wounded 32 others at the Fort Hood military base in Killeen, Texas, on 5 November 2009. Hasan, who proudly admits to carrying out the attack, is due to stand trial from Tuesday for 13 counts of murder and 32 of attempted murder. He faces a potential death sentence.

Survivors, however, remain furious that even as he grew more openly radicalized, Hasan was left untroubled by military authorities who have still not been held to account for failing to prevent his massacre.

Despite warning classmates that Muslim-American troops might be obliged to kill comrades, and even being spotted by the FBI having email exchanges with Anwar al-Awlaki, the late Yemen-based al-Qaeda cleric, Hasan was promoted to Major and left free to carry out the worst ever killing spree on a US military base. A group of 148 victims and their relatives are now suing the US government for $750 million (£491 million) and demanding that the military “meet its responsibilities to those harmed by its negligence.” …

Never having run afoul of the UCMJ during my stellar (ahem) Army career I wasn't aware until just a few days ago that civilians, and the press, are allowed to attend (most) military courts martial. They're barred from some (cases where classified info is at issue, for example) but the UCMJ specifically instructs officials to allow civilians in whenever possible.I'd love to attend this one.But even if I lived nearby you can be sure that the press would take up most of the seats.

He was protected by a hell of a lot more than from on high. He was protected by everyone around him. This is the natural result of people acceding to mouthing bullshit, saluting bullshit, respecting bullshit.

Hasan has admitted he did what he did in the name of Islam, and yet the Marxist in Chief and his DOJ lackey are still calling it workplace violence. May they rot in hell.

With the baby, it should be 14 counts of murder.

This general should have offered to give the life of one of his children to satisfy the diversity “gods.”

“....it would be “more” tragic if “diversity” were to suffer as a result.”

That was the execrable Army chief of staff Gen. Casey, who issued a 75-page initial report on the massacre without any mention at all of the words “Muslim” or “Islam”.

I’ve said a jillion times that this case will never go to trial as too many heads will roll if Hasan is convicted.

It’s now predicted that the trial/appeals will drag on for years. Hasan will probably die in prison of old age though I hope he dies of other causes such as suffocation with a pillow, no weapon needed.

We have a Commander in Chief who says, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”(From Audacity of Hope)

“Is exercising common sense and basic objectivity really so abhorrent that we can’t allow it in our society any more?”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I think it is blatantly obvious that the true answer is yes, of course, why would anyone doubt it?

I would prefer that he come to realize that he killed all those people and threw away his own life at a young age for an insane idea and I would like for him to live to 100 in prison broken, disabled, in extreme physical pain and cursing himself for his idiocy.

They’ll probably give him a medical disability pension. nobama probably will give him the Medal of Freedom for his acts. The situation is pathetic and sickening. The criminal should have a double-tap to the forehead some time ago (after being adjudicated, of course)

You may have noticed that the wheels turned much faster in the case of Timothy McVeigh. “Not that there is anything wrong with that”, of course.
