My gut feeling is that Bristol is not being straight with us. I really don’t want to think that a Marine is doing that. But I accept the possibility.

Something here isn't "always faithful"

Sad reality: Liberals have so corrupted the armed forces that we can no longer trust them either. And it really upsets the hell out of me to say it but someone must.

Many good men and women are leaving it for that reason. Which is according to the liberal plan.

I don’t care if this makes anyone mad, but from what I’ve seen in the last few years the military is doing it better than any other corrupt union out there. They are making the SEIU look like pikers.

When I think of my late father’s duty as a US Marine in 3 wars, when I think of the men in the Chosin Reservoir Campaign, and then I watch this charade, truthfully it nearly brings tears to my eyes.

It would break my father’s heart to see what has become of the USMC.

When my daughter was young, a preteen, I told her that personal honor and loyalty were qualities that without, no person has any worth. A ditch digger with honor and loyalty is worth more than 10 Presidents or Generals without.

For all the times my father and I clashed as I grew up, for all the things we disagreed about over the years, I never doubted that he would gladly storm the gates of Hell for his comrades and his family. Damn few of those left.

I think this article explains a bit better what was going on. politifact.com

In this article it says LtCol Gibson was not given the necessary approval to take a four person team to Benghazi from Tripoli for the withdrawal at the airport. It's not technically a stand down (I think), and it wasn't for extraction at the annex.

Snipped from the article:

Here’s what Hicks told lawmakers:

"The defense attache had persuaded the Libyans to fly their C-130 to Benghazi. ... Since we had consolidated at the annex, and the Libyan government had now provided us with external security around our facilities, we wanted to send further reinforcements to Benghazi.

"We determined that Lieutenant Gibson and his team of special forces troops should go. The people in Benghazi had been fighting all night. They were tired. They were exhausted. We wanted to make sure the airport was secure for their withdrawal. As Col. Gibson and his three personnel were getting in the cars, he stopped. And he called them off and told me that he had not been authorized to go. The vehicles had to go because the flight needed to go to Tripoli, I mean, to Benghazi. Lt. Col. Gibson was furious. I had told him to go bring our people home. That's what he wanted to do. … So the plane went. I think it landed in Benghazi around 7:30."

Thankfully, they did not have more attacks at the airport.

“Something here isn’t “always faithful””

If you don’t believe the Marine brass will lie, download the documentary “Semper Fi” from Netflix or Amazon. Learn about the million Marines and dependents who drank contaminated water at Camp Lejeune from the 1950’s to the 1980’s and the coverup by the Marine Corps and the Department of the Navy. Many have died or suffered cancer, birth defects, and other maladies as a result of the brass looking after their own butts and careers instead of the troops and their families.
