Doug Curlee, a San Diego reporter, admits in a Monday editorial that "San Diego news media reporters, editors, producers and writers pretty much knew who and what Bob Filner is and has been." But except for talking about it over drinks, "we did nothing about it." Worst of all, Curlee claims that the rumors around Filner were "incessant," but no one bothered to confirm them, choosing instead to accept denials.

Trust me, had I ever met him, and he made a move on me, I would have immediately reported him and then sued him for his last dollar; the slimebag Communist.

When the media is so partisan that the left is subjected to virtually no scrutiny, this is what happens.
I guess even back then people knew the score with regard to the press.

They didn’t say anything .. because the person running against him was a gay man .. and they didn’t want him either .. even though he (Carl) had been a City Councilman who had exposed the City’s pension mess (such as a city maid making minimum wage, retiring after ony 5 years with a salary of approx $50,000 per year). You can see how easily this would bankrupt the City .. and nobody but Carl seemed to care.
I used to work with Carl at the local RNC office. He was the consumate gentleman .. even rising from his chair when I entered the room. He was polite and never gave me any concern even when he and another male person were alone in the same office with me. For years, I didn’t even know he was gay.
However, his logic and common sense - he’s a thinker and a doer - made him an excellent candidate. But, the elites of San Diego banded together with a smear campaign - as well as detouring all the money away from Carl. They were all ticked off that Carl had figured out the elite’s pension scheme; and letting the unions know that he was not going to allow them to bankrupt San Diego. While Carl did get it to change (the pension plans), who knows how long it will last.
It’s a crying shame. Now, we’re stuck with a sexual pervert .. and an idiot to boot.
The answer to your question is .. he’s a democrat (winning is all that matters .. character doesn’t count).

I wish one of those women knew some Tae Kwan Do and broke his big ugly nose. If Filner were a Republican he would have been arrested by now. One of the questions that I have is what did Filner’s San Diego Police security detail know and see? The SDPD police chief is a partisan democrat hack who was thrilled to see Filner elected. Hmmmmm??
