A day after Tanner Scheppers reported he was unavailable after being sucker-punched while leaving a Cleveland restaurant, a different version of the story is being reported, as well.
In it, Scheppers was the instigator in a fight at a Cleveland restaurant/bar at approximately 2:30 a.m.. He was one of three Rangers at Panninis, along with reliever Joe Nathan and catcher A.J. Pierzynski. According to an unnamed source in local weekly Cleveland Scene, Scheppers lost a bar fight. He had 10 chances to walk away before this happened.
