The U.S. Park Police in Washington say the Lincoln Memorial has been temporarily closed after someone splattered a splash of green paint on the statue.

I think I read (maybe in comments) that this could have been an “accident”?
Someone accidentaly spilled paint 5’ to 6’ in the air at 1:30 AM while strolling past the monument? What horrible luck.
