Barack Obama is bored. You can see it in his demeanor and in his face, the way anticipation becomes melancholy. Most of all you can hear it in his voice when he steps up to make the speech that once sent audiences into frenzy. Hes mailing it in (with postage due).
Being a messiah, a rock star, the Pied Piper of Hamelin, is of course hard work. Maybe we should cut the guy a break. You cant be Mick Jagger or Kanye West every day.
The president went to Illinois this week to make a speech about the economy and jobs that the White House hyped as something to remind everyone of William Jennings Bryan (Cross of Gold) or at least Winston Churchill (we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills). What everyone got was a speech to put Michelle to sleep. The president himself seemed to be dozing between the words 10 minutes into the speech.

held forth for hours while their poor cheerleaders had to clap and nod
He’d rather be at the bathhouse with his boyfriend Reggie Love.
“Being a messiah, a rock star, the Pied Piper of Hamelin,”
Hamelin? Did they misspell Harlem???
This is a two-speed president. You have the guy who is charged up for campaign speeches and peppy while in campaign mode. Then there’s the second speed where the guy is like the number nine player on a NBA team....sitting mostly and watching.
He’s never run a business or an operation that was absolutely dependent on a decision process. He’s mostly set to automatic with his chief of staff and top-level team making the daily decisions for him and he’s there to ‘look’ like a president.
I wouldn’t be counting on any 4-star speeches for the rest of the four-year period. There’ll be five or six theme speeches yet to go, but none mean anything. If you had to say this was in lame-duck status so early in the fifth year....you’d be shocked.
Watching him doing his act on the news, before I could change the channel, I said to my wife it looks like a minstrel show of old. Between waving his arms and moving his head side to side between the two teleprompters I figured he would be ready for neck nerve repair. Alas not to happen to Mr. Bobblehead.
Don’t worry. He will be helping the economy. Of course it will be the economy of Martha’s Vineyard where he and his family will be spending lots of taxpayer money next month. Where will you be when he is doing that?
Obama is in full Castro mode. How long until we are subjected to mandatory viewing of all day Sunday speeches touting the glory of the peoples revolution?
I keep going back to the lady who took over from Barry as editor of the Harvard Law Review, who has said in interviews (very diplomatically) that her job was extremely tough cause Barry had not done jack the whole preceding year.
“The only good thing about having 1200 days of this clown is there’s that much time to watch him continue to make a complete fool of himself on the world stage.”
And if he does, few in the media will acknowledge it. Ask any Democrat and you’ll find it’s still Bush’s fault.
It’s possible President Hillary Clinton will make us wish for the good old Obama days.
Nearly every time the WH hypes in advance one of his speeches, he seems to fall flat in the delivery and/or content.
No worries, however, as the Media, on cue, praises it as the greatest speech of all time.
He isn’t bored... he is in way over his head... which is filled by a vacuum.
LLS
It is not POSSIBLE that Evita will make us nostalgic for the old “O” days...it is GUARANTEED!
Evita is completely inimical to the US and in the thesarus under ‘naked ambition’... they put HER picture ... just in case you can’t read!
Should be Hyde Park
So what?
His minions are pushing his agenda as forcefully as ever. If he were to resign tomorrow nothing would slow our plummeting into the abyss, except our own efforts.
Oh Lord, please don't put "naked" and any semblance of "She who shall not be named" in the same sentence!
Sorry!
Hillary’s poll numbers in California yesterday were truly shocking — she polled 65% and a couple of Republican names in the low 40s or 30s. I am very afraid you are right. Twelve or sixteen years of communism will completely doom us.
